On a sports team app, when I hit the log in button, it used to open a chrome-based screen to enter the user & pass on that app's website.
Now, I recently installed Brave, and I did not change my default browser to Brave. When I login on that sports app, Brave now opens instead of chrome - Brave doesn't have my passwords though so I can't login.
How can I prevent Brave from doing this? I want it as a backup browser, doing nothing until I open it myself.
I'm about to order a MCS-installed 8kW inverter battery-only system, no solar because my roof is is obstructed by chimneys, dormers etc, I simply can't get panels on it.
Not sure what G99 limit I will get but let's say it's more than 8kW.
If I were to build a garden pergola in the future, and self-fitted 6kWe solar panels on top of it, could/would the DNO object? What about the electric supplier? Any other factors?
I would already have export permission for more than the max solar+battery output from the inverter.
Had a bunch of chats with installers but frequently get the "targeting the quality end of the market" e.g Sig or Tesla (no thanks), which I understand with a full solar install, but my roof is the wrong layout for solar so it's battery only for me. And Fogstar are relatively new so they will be hesitant with what they don't know.
So - has anyone nearby has Fogstar installed, probably with Solis or Sunsynk inverter.
I could easily go ITS but I would much rather keep it local and direct - and I suspect a bit cheaper.
Recently got an EV via LTD business contract hire, and now I need to categorise it correctly via Freeagent. Additionally, need to claim half the VAT back (personal use). I'm sure someone here has done this?
Freeagent suggests "Leasing Payments" for the initial and monthlies, which sounds about right but don't want to misstep, when "Motoring Expenses" is also a possibility.
On the VAT - is it a journal entry of some sort?
I've got a house which doesn't have roof space for solar, so I'm looking at a battery-only install to use EDF's 6.99p EV night rate.
I have some quotes for 2- and 3-battery options, so now it's a case of where 2 or 3 of different sizes can be installed.
I have lots of windows so external wall-hung doesn't appear to be feasible, and I've no garage/outhouse.
A) With the new Amendment 4 regulations, if installed externally they can't be within 1M of a window. Is that wall hung, or also applies to freestanding?
B) If freestanding too, has anyone had to build a small concrete hard standing in their garden, with a trench for the cabling? Would that need planning permission?
C) Do I understand correctly that batteries are permitted to be installed indoors in certain rooms, so long as they are not a bedroom or escape route, with ventilation (i.e. has a window)? And it can be within 1M of a window when indoors. So a living room would be ok.
More a reflection, but If fumes/smoke from an outside thermal event getting through a window are a concern why would they be permitted indoors at all?
I don't have Spanish region, language pack, keyboard or anything installed in my phone. Why are the definitions given in the source language? There's no button to set my native English as the "known" language.
