Grey In the UK?

Has anyone from the UK gone grey and bought directly from a Chinese vendor? I have recently moved to the UK, and am in need of new batches.

However, I am a bit scared of customs and of my package being seized. Has anyone from the UK had any issues with their packages from Chinese vendors lately?

I don’t know why I’m so paranoid lol. I read a dude who had cops show up to his door? Like wtf!

Possible Heat Damage?

I need advice! I recently straightened my hair for the first time in a year! Rookie mistake, but I didn’t use heat protectants as I had just moved to the UK, literally like 2 days before straightening my hair and didn’t have nor managed to get any.

Yesterday was wash day. I did my curly hair routine and noticed some strands, the front pieces and some of my ends, are still straight. I have straightened my hair before and it takes me like 3 washes to get all my curl pattern back, however, I’m worried this time around.

I bought OlaPlex No.3 and plan on using it in my next wash. My hair is my everything and it would kill me if I have permanently damaged it.

So I ask, is straightening it one time caused such permanent damage? Has anyone went through something like this and has used products that have helped? I texted my hair stylist back at home, who advised hair masks and finger coiling for now. She said that if the curls don’t return, I might need to cut off an inch.

Any other advice? Thank you. (I’m losing my mind)

Biometrics Appointment Attire

Hi! Just a small question. I have my biometrics appointment in two days and cannot find what to wear! I understand it’s pretty casual, but I don’t know if there’s any restrictions when it comes to clothing.

Are spaghetti straps alright for the photos? Or should I cover my shoulders instead? Can I wear my bangs out, or will they have me move my hair from my face?

Any advice would be highly appreciated!

Should we apply for a Fiancé Visa?

My fiancé and I have been thinking of applying for a Fiancé visa, so that we can finally marry in the UK. He is British, while I’m American.

I have been doing a lot of research about it, and my biggest worry is the financial requirements, as my fiancé makes around £27k. However, he does also earn commission, which if taken into account, can surpass the £29k requirement.

We also have around £10k in mutual savings. I doubt these will be taken into consideration as we currently don’t share a joint bank account together, due to the distance.

Would it be worth it to apply? Or am I risking wasting the money spent on the application fee? I am genuinely lost in what to do. I just want to be with him, and marry soon.

Student Loan Confusion

Hi! I’m very confused!

I was accepted into a university in the UK and was looking into funding. After completing my FAFSA, and sending it to my uni, I was then sent a funding offer.

Maximum total loan available ($): 67,005

Of which, maximum Subsidised Loan ($) : 3,500

Maximum Unsubsidised Loan ($) : 6,100

Balance as private loan ($) : 57,405

I cannot make sense of it. I’ve never taken out a student loan before so I’m extremely LOST. Are they offering 67k? Then what do the 3,500/6,100 mean?

Any insight is highly appreciated! Help a clueless student today

AirPods on Depop

Hi! I’m selling some AirPods on depop, and need help. I followed someone’s advice on listing the AirPods for $5, but put the real price on the description. I now have a person interested and need to know how to proceed with the order?

I tried sending them an offer with the real price, but depop does not accept it. Is there a way to send them an offer with the real price? How do I go about this? Thank you!

Cut too harsh?

Hi! I have been on a calorie deficit for around 7 months now. It has gone exceptionally well, I have lost around 30lbs. My partner has now begun to worry, as losing weight and eating less has become easy for me. When eating, I get full much faster and thinking of food sometimes can make me a bit nauseous. Is this a sign that I am cutting too hard, or is this normal?

Just for reference, I’m a 24 year old, 5’2 woman. I started my cut weighting around 140lb and now, I’m at 110lbs. Due to my height, I still look chubby, and so I’d like to lose a few more pounds, but not overdue it. Am I cutting too hard, or is this completely normal? Should I adjust my diet somehow? Any advice on how to do that, while still on a deficit and losing weight, would be highly appreciated.

I’m interested on your guys’ thoughts on One Meal A Day. I’ve seen a lot of people on it, and losing weight consistently. I’m currently on a calorie deficit and can see myself considering it.

Any thoughts on it, negative or positive? Any tips are welcome!

I am a 5’2, 24 year old woman weighting 115lbs. I know my weight is within the normal range, but I am simply interested in dropping a few pounds. The gym is currently not an option as I am moving very soon and cannot create a membership anywhere.

Any other tips on how to lose the stubborn weight would be highly appreciated.
