I'm a big fan of Dune so the Butlerian Jihad and the dangers of AI are no new concept to me, but I read it many years ago.

When I started Sun Eater I was not aware of the parallels with Dune wrt to AI. The whole mess with LLMs and their dangers have been on my head and then I read Howling Dark and currently Demon in White and it seems so prophetic:

I don't really think we're at this point in time but it sounds prophetic.

Just poetic and to me describes the gouhls currently working in AI, in fact most tech leaders.

This beautifully resonates with me and how I've been feeling about the world for the last year or more.

Hey! Anyone experienced with designing PCBs for this microprocessor family? How hard was it, perhaps compared to other equivalent cpus? Any resources you found useful?

I've designed a few stm boards (none professionally but all being used around many hobbies) for their mcu series (mostly F4 and F7) and this would be my first high speed,and bga, design. How tough it really is to do a decent job with the lpddr?

My requirements are mostly serial ports, I2C , SPIs and ethernet (perhaps pwm as well) but no audio, no video or gpu, so I would fanout only necessary pins in a SOM and then into a carrier board. This is for a hobby robot so I can take my time to learn but hopefully dont burn through the budget.

I've been working on a huge c++ codebase for 5 years. CLion had some issues with it but nothing too serious.

For the past 2 years quality has been decreasing so much. It freezes all the time, random crashes at runtime and during startup, random filesystem synchronizations that just freeze everything. I've cancelled my subscription and moving to something else

Yes million times yes. Just read the chapter where we meet brethren and it is amazing. This whole book has been actually. All the progression from them exploring the quarters, tree of life and the walk to brethren and the dialogue that ensues.

The perfect mix of lovecraftian horror and cyberpunk! I hope things progress this way on the rest of books.

I read this book was slow, but honestly if it is so the author can show us and explore this world so be it, I'm in.

Fibally, The Undying is such a great character so far. It scratchs an itch I've had for loong after reading a famous book series, I won't mention which, where characters interact with very old gods and creatures with unclear but powerful powers. The dialogue is on point. I picture him as in book the cover with gray instead of black hair.

Would this(drm remove) be a problem for the vps provider? (E.g. hetzner)
