Does this look like a write off?

Is this a write-off?

My partner was rear ended, and then bumped into the car in front. 2021 VW Golf.

Honestly, we're hoping it is - we have insurance, and would be easier for is as we were hoping to sell it soon.

Best time to try out iPhone?

I've jumped back and forth between iPhone and Android a few times. Spent the bulk of my time on Android, but have also enjoyed iPhone. Im a PC gamer, but a software developer who prefers mac, so im used to hopping between the two ecosystem for different needs.

I've got an s25u at the moment. Am happy with it, so im in no rush to get a new phone this year, but I think id like to try using an iPhone again for my next upgrade.

Given im in no rush to upgrade, any idea when would be the best time? I know phones tend to go through "eras", where some year its just the-same-phone-but-a-little-better and some years its a full revamp.

Just wondering if you guys have any insight on when a good time to jump ship might be in the next couple of years.

EDIT: emphasis on years I dont know why people are telling me to "just upgrade now" when I made it pretty clear that's not what im asking. I spent 2k on my current phone just over a year ago, im not planning on upgrading until late next year at the earliest.

I just want to understand if the last few gens of iphone have all been pretty similar (in which case I'd expect a more dramatic upgrade sooner rather than later - so I might upgrade in a year)

Or if we've just HAD a big upgrade, then id probably rather wait 2 or 3 years for the next big upgrade - because i don't want to be the kind of person who upgrades every year. And if rather make the switch when its a little more interesting

Am I wrong to think My Neighbour Totoro is a sad movie?

Was watching movies with my partner and a friend the other week, and we felt like a Ghibli movie. We wanted one of the light-hearted ones, but then my friend suggested Totoro - and I was like "no thats too depressing". Both my partner and friend were surprised I thought that, and disagreed.

So now im wondering, am I just mis-remembering it? I haven't seen it in years (probably because it does hit me hard) so I can't remember if I'm wrong.

I know it's a fun movie for the most part, but I guess the aspect of the two girls and their sick mother was what hit me the most. Theyre so young, too young to really understand death (especially the youngest) and yet they're in this situation where they're having to slowly come to terms with losing a parent.

And the stuff with Totoro, and the cat bus, is cute and whimsical... but it all just kinda highlights how these two young girls are losing their care-free innocence.

Not that I think the movie is all doom and gloom either.

But it just struck me as one of the sadder movies.

So am wondering, where do other people usually think it sits on the happy-sad spectrum

EDIT: sounds like I just completely forgot how it ends! Will definitely be doing a rewatch

Is this what being glutened feels like?

So, my celiac diagnosis journey wasn't exactly smooth (like many of you)

First had a positive blood test result in 2019. Got told by my GP to start eating GF immediately, etc etc.

After my first two biopsys being negative, I finally had a third one last year that was positive, and have been able to lock in over the last year with being GF

Been exactly a year now, and im feeling so much better in a lot of little ways. Had a catchup a few months ago, and learnt that im no longer displaying the celiac antibodies, so it seems like I have been successfuly avoiding gluten so far.

But im still struggling to identify when ive been glutened.

(Aplogies for upcoming TMI) Just yesterday, after having a Cafe breakfast, I started feeling pretty bad. Felt bloated, and I was needing to go to the toilet a lot. Had unpleasant stomach/bowel pains, and my stool was coming out completely green. Was very unpleasant.

Does this sound like a gluten response? Its the green stool that's concerning me. I've had that happen before, but I haven't been able to tell if it's a celiac thing, or some other GI problem
