Trading XAUUSD Without a Directional Bias Only Structural Reactions Matter

Today I mainly focused on short term reaction trading on XAUUSD, scalping back and forth around several key support and resistance levels.

The approach was simple: enter when the price reaches a level and a reaction occurs no trend forecasting, just capitalising on price fluctuations.

In practical terms, this means:

Selling short at resistance levels and buying long at support levels

Entering and exiting in small, staggered positions

Quick in, quick out no holding positions

The overall result was a profit (approximately +2.7k), but this was built up through numerous small gains and losses rather than a single sided move.

The key takeaway:

Trade only structural reactions; do not predict the direction.
