I would like to have a physical book, with reference photos printed next to every page. Which is your favorite and why?

A really cool watercolor pencil trick is the “wet bloom” technique:
- Draw a small area with watercolor pencil, pressing fairly hard, so there’s lots of pigment.
- Paint over it with a clean, wet brush.
- While it’s still very wet, touch the edge with a different watercolor pencil color.
- Let the new color bleed outward naturally.
- Add a few dry pencil strokes afterward for sharp details.
The result is a mix of soft, dreamy color blooms and a crisp pencil texture. It looks especially awesome for galaxies, flowers, clouds, flames, or magical-looking backgrounds.
Extra trick: Try putting a tiny amount of salt onto the wet pigment. Once dry, brush the salt away—the crystals can leave a cool, starry texture.
