I Have Added a Background
I used a little bit of watercolor paint too. Do you also think there should be a 3rd flower?

I have used the white pencil to smoothen some edges. The trick was that I didn’t add water. Swipe to see the mistakes marked. I am happy with this drawing. The result is smoother, and the new layer made it darker, more sunset-like.
Vote here: https://www.reddit.com/r/watercolorpencilart/comments/1udwzyg/poll\_for\_julys\_monthly\_theme/ It’s not a commitment, you can vote even if you won’t paint. What would you like to draw/paint or see?
Also, we give special monthly badges for participating artists. The more drawings you submit, the more trophies will be displayed in your badge.
Let’s decide together what we want to draw/paint in July together. If there is a tie, we will flip a coin. If you don't feel like completing the challenge, you can still vote, just choose what you would like to see. We have a full week to decide, and still complete June's challenge. ☺️
Please consider the challenges. For example, how would you draw reflections, clouds, the dress of the bride, or foliage? These subjects are not easy, and it’s an opportunity to discuss technical difficulties and get through them together.
Edit: Even if your favorite subject doesn’t win, please share your work in the subreddit. The sub is not exclusive to the challenges. 😉
Before and after adding water. When I add water, brushwork comes in and does its magic. 🤩
I bought a set of 6 pencils, and I was curious about how they deal with the sunshine. It’s been more than a month, and they haven’t changed. I wouldn’t place a drawing in direct sunlight, but this set seems to deal well with sunshine. The last picture is about color mixing.
There will be a poll next week. Please help us come up with ideas about what you would like to draw/paint next month. The ideas from last month: 1. Trees and Foliage, 2. Summer Wedding. We’d like to add 3. Reddit’s Snoo figure (with Reddit’s guidelines) and 4. Beach Life. What would you like to work on together? Is it a subject, mood or color palette? Something you have always wanted to try? Something challenging? Please share your ideas and your favorite reference photos. Deadline: 23rd of June, then the poll goes up with all of our ideas.
This is a collection of links and images of the previous challenges. You can still participate in them by simply submitting your image to the subreddit. Let us know which month's theme you have finished and find the monthly reference images below. Also, you can use your own resources and reference photos of the same theme if you like. All we ask is to at least partially use watercolor pencils, even if your work is mixed media. Have fun!
We have had 3 ideas, so let’s decide together what we want to draw/paint in June together. July’s theme will be the one that gets second place. I think it is fair if mods don’t vote. If there is a tie, we will flip a coin. 🤭
22 days ago, I put the top half of this swatch chart in a south-facing window, exposed to direct sunlight, to see if I could trust the pigments. I’d say it’s unchanged. It’s just a homemade test, nothing official.
It’s a little bit unfinished, but my patience was gone completely. 🤣
