Just to note: I love every variation of waspinator

If I was going to write a transformers story, and were to add waspinator to the cast, the IDW Beast Wars variant, is my go to for inspiration

While Beast Wars was extremely funny, he was moreso a gag, just because the fans loved him, the creators hate him

Animated was extremely sad, but that was moreso a new take of waspinator, rather than being inspired by the original

This feels like waspinator, but with more layers

He is still a punching bag, the universe still hates him... but he isn't a bitch about it, probably because his life is genuinely better

Waspinator has actual friends, skold, terrorsaur (despite being her bully), scorponok and generally most of the preds, he actually cares about them, while in beast wars he was either 3 things, a joke, a grunt or both, and in animated, either a test experiment, a criminal or a victim

He is moreso a goofy goober rather than a dumbass, he can sense any undetected or invisible targets, which saved most of the preds from an axalon crashing into them as a free kill

That and his 2 degrees of astronomy, which allowed him and rattrap to take out 3 vok with a lazer

Back to rattrap, he is honestly one of the friendlier predacons, always apologizing, asking for consent, and sure he can still be an asshole, like the time he ditched rhinox in a hole, after the maximal saved his ass multiple times, but he is more respectful to the likes of rattrap, that and his worries on skold and him questioning terrorsaur on why he bullies her so often, even desiring revenge on the death of terrorsaur without knowledge of skold doing it show he isn't entirely a bad guy

If you disagree with this take, it's understandible, I love all versions of waspinator, so I accept any critisisms... but have you considered

THE FACT HE HAS A TEDDY BEAR

Him = Rotta the Hutt

He goes from his most despised part of the clone wars movie

Then becomes his favorite part of the mandolorian and grogu
