Credit limit was "temporarily lowered"

Just got notified with the following:

"We've applied a temporary restriction to help protect your credit score. To restore your limit, follow the steps in an email"

The steps tell me to make a larger payment or to provide my banking information so I can have my bank statements/transactions looked at. Both which I did (as I never make just the minimum payment anyway each month).

I haven't used this credit card much lately but just found this very random. Possible explanations are:

  • someone at Neo keeping a close eye on my credit use and noticed I just bought a house on top of the condo I already own and have a mortgage on (but plan to rent out), thinking I am a higher credit risk all of a sudden. I have a perfect payment record.
  • Alternatively, it is because I don't really use the card much and when I do, I make big purchases but I don't make just the minimum payment and thus not seen as a profitable customer.
  • They want an excuse to snoop in my bank account

Obviously those arent the explanations I received.

This has not happened with my other credit cards and fortunately I don't rely on the credit cards to live... still annoying because Costco only accepts Mastercard, not Visa. Neo's World Mastercard is the card I happen to use there, and I like to make the odd big purchase there.

Has this happened to anyone else and if so, what was the reasoning?

Windows 11 Software RAID 1 array Resynching after Windows Reinstall

Last windows update somehow killed my windows install - multiple BSODs and after spending about an hour trying to fix them, I gave up and reinstalled windows. Prior to this, I had drives in a RAID 1 array set up using the Windows Disk Manager years ago. The windows install was on another drive outside the array.

Now after the reinstall, I can't see my array in My Computer. Under Disk Management, I see that the array is Resynching.

- Is my array still salvageable, and if yes, should I just leave my PC on overnight until this finishes? How long would this take? There is about 1.8TB of data.

- Should I just get a separate RAID controller going forward to avoid this issue?

lower back injury - recovery method?

Hurt my lower back. Was getting into a rental car and out of nowhere, a sharp pain started there. Went to physio, recovered in a few days. Had excess back muscle stiffness. Thought I was OK to deadlift this AM and without warning, a sharp pain came from my lower back. Physiotherapist said I haven't been stretching enough and the stiffness has put excessive stress on my back muscles when i lift, and my sitting for 10h+ at desk each day also further fatigue my lower back and hamstrings.

This also happened to me just 2 months ago, and once in 2025, when I recovered 5 days later in each case... stronger than before eventually! but now my back is hurt once again. Seems to be reoccurring.

So, I cant do any exercises involving back for 2 weeks, and then was told to start again at 10lbs, adding +5lbs each time, and must religiously stretch back and hamstrings 3 times a day everyday. Is this the best way to recover? What do fellow lifters here do after hurting back ?

I normally DL 345lb, squat 260, overhead press 135, chin-up 90, bent over row 230. So I am wondering if larger intervals would be more appropriate in my case.
