Pacman Nebula !!

Decided to go after the Pacman Nebula whilst in Greece recently and carried it on once back in the UK this week.

Total of about 3.5 hrs of data, stacked using StackingWizard and processed using AstroWizard.

Hope you like !!

Andromeda & AstroWizard

Managed to use a break in the clouds last night and get about an hour's worth of data for Andromeda and ran it though AstroWizard today, pretty damned happy with the results !!

30 sec exposures, 60 gain, EQ mode,

Discovered AstroWizard ... and Oh .. My .. God ..

I'd heard people talking about AstroWizard in the forums and decided to check it out and I'm VERY impressed, especially with the new stacking software that's still in Beta test,

Pic 1 is M101 after AstroWizard, roughly 4 hours of data at 60 seconds, 60 gain from bortle 4,

Pic 2 is Markarian's Chain through Stellar Studio, again 60 seconds, etc

Pic 3 is also Markarian's Chain but through AstroWizard and I'm amazed at the quality !!

Bear in mind this is the first time I've EVER done any PC post processing, all trial and error learning today. Up until now I'd only used Stellar Studio with a touch of Lightroom mobile,

SSD Upgrade - 2017 MacBook Pro

Hi all, hoping someone can help me. I've recently been given an old 2017 MacBook Pro A1708 (Two Thunderbolt ports, i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD), I've used OCLP to uplift it to Mac OS Sequoia, which runs great, I've also used Bootcamp to install Win 11 Home which is also running great, but I'm now at the point where the 256GB SSD is simply not enough space. I know you can upgrade the SSD to an M.2 2230 drive using an adapter and I have a 512GB drive to use. What I'm wondering is what would be involved in replacing the drive. Can it be cloned or then simply switch out the drive ? If it can be cloned what's the best way to do it ? Or do I need to install new drive and then start again with upgrading to Sequoia, and then Bootcamp for Windows 11 ?

SSD Upgrade Advice Needed

Hi all, hoping for some advise on something please. Recently got hold of a 2017 MacBook Pro (A1708 model), Core i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD.

I've used OCLP to update it from Monterey to Sequoia, but I'm now thinking about upgrading the SSD to 512GB as I've got a spare 2230 SSD and can get the Mac adapter easily enough.

I'm assuming that upgrading the drive wouldn't be as simple as cloning the drive, swap them out and job done, so would appreciate some guidance on the best way to move forwards with upgrading.

A1708 - Best OS ?

Hi all, recently got given a 2017 MacBook Pro (non touch bar), Core i5, 8GB RAM, I'm wondering what the best version of MacOS to install using OCLP is ? Is Sequoia still the best version or is Tahoe compatible now ?
