TankerPro 3.0 and 1925 Owners

I barely resisted the Odds & Ends Sale. Scott’s Nicksaholics post pushed me over the edge on getting Bison Nightshade boots. I have enough of black, pacific, brown and natural color boots so want a different color.

Thinking about getting 8” TankerPro 3.0 1925s (430 MV and black where ever possible). In the 1925 last, should I stick with smooth for both the uppers and lowers for a dressier look? Would it be missed opportunity not to get roughout?

Ottawa Boot Crimson CXL

Purchased GS Ottawas in Crimson CXL back in Feb and have been wearing them around the house. Finally wore them to work yesterday.

These are 9.5D and fit the same as my Brass Boots in Black CXL that are 9E and fit my feet better than my Diesels in Bison 9.5E.

The Crimson CXL leather color works for most of my wardrobe.

NBD Zero Drop Ridgeline PWF

I wanted to add some hiking boots to my Nicks lineup. I wear bearfoot shoes for working out so the Thurman ZD last for my Ridgelines was perfect. These are my 2nd pair of Pacific WF boots and I can really see the color difference in this batch (last 2 photos). I actually loved the dark navy color before but the true PWF color for these hiking boots are lovely.

I have too many boots

I just ordered a pair of Western Chelsea’s in IBC to wear to work and around town. It’s a leather I’ve wanted for a while.

I forgot that I have a pair of Jodhpurs in Shinki Horsehide that I haven’t worn yet and the color is similar to the Cypress Italian Brown. There is plenty of time but wondering if I should change the leather of my Western Chelsea’s.

For reference, I have Nicks Chelsea’s in black CXL, GS Chelsea’s in crimson CXL, Ivan’s in PWF and 1925 Ivan’s in DS Tobacco on order. I have other boots in black, navy, brown, tan, and stone (rambler), no gray or green.

Should I stick with IBC or try something lighter/darker for my first pair of “western” boots?

A pair of Nick’s for every day of the week

I ordered my first pair of Nicks a little over a year ago—Urban Loggers in Honey Spokane. While waiting for them, I ordered QS Ivan’s in PWF, which on 7/2/25 became the first pair of Nicks I got to wear. By August, I got a couple of in stock boots (Chelsea’s in Black CXL and MTO Peanut Bison). The 4” lace up boots in Shackleton are my latest pair. AND I have two more pairs on order.

The Urban Loggers are my “work boots” and the rest I wear to the office and on weekends. Peanut Bison is the softest leather but I’ve worn the Ivan’s the most and the Pacific WF fits like a glove. My Nicks belts are black and brown CXL.

I really enjoy reading all of your posts in this community and have learned tons about PNW and heritage boots.

Shackleton Summer Boots (6 week check in)

These 4” T55s in Shackleton Black are getting really comfortable after 8-10 wears. They are about as easy to put on as my Ivan’s.

New (sun)Glasses Day

Picked up my new prescription sunglasses today. I didn’t want to go too crazy and liked these MYKITA MYLON Hybrid Yuccas.
