Kia EV6 — is it worth buying used?
Hey everyone,
I’m considering switching my current car for an EV and I’ve been looking pretty closely at the Kia EV6, especially used ones.
My budget is roughly €20–25k, and the EV6 has really caught my attention because of the price they’re starting to go for, the range, fast charging and, honestly, because I think it looks great 😂
I’d love to hear from people who own or have owned an EV6, especially in Europe.
A few things I’m particularly interested in:
- Long-term reliability
- Real-world battery range
- Maintenance costs
- Known issues / recalls
- Fast charging and how it performs on long trips
- Real-world consumption
- Comfort and build quality
- What your experience has been like with Kia
- And most importantly: would you buy an EV6 again?
I’ve also heard quite a bit about the ICCU issue, which is probably the biggest thing making me hesitate. If you’ve experienced it yourself, I’d really like to know how it was handled and whether it changed your confidence in the car afterwards.
I’m planning to keep the car for several years, so I’m not really looking for something to buy and sell again in a year.
If you own one, it would also be great if you could share which version/motor you have, model year, mileage and the kind of consumption you usually get.
Basically, I’m trying to figure out whether I’m looking at a really good used-car deal or whether there’s something I’m missing. 😅
