Storing a large collection?
I’m around 1500 movies now and constantly outrunning my space. Given my interest and pace of acquisition I want to plan for at least 5000 movies within a few years.
Anyone here have suggestions for storage design along those lines? I’d prefer not to go two deep as it makes browsing impossible but I’m open to suggestion.
New adds - platinum & 250th
New acquisitions - Navitimer Perpetual Calendar in platinum and the Avenger Automatic America 250. Love the weight of the platinum & the colors / caseback design of the Avenger. Great start to summer!
Jumping Hours
Pioneer Jumping Hours Aventurine…haven’t seen many of the Jumping Hours around
Duvall Hall of Fame
I haven’t even made it to the end yet and I’m blown away by Tracy Letts’ encyclopedic knowledge of apparently all things Duvall, screenwriting, casting, Hollywood relationships, and apparently just TV and movies in general for, oh, the past many decades. Presumably he brushed up for the episode but his deep anecdotes and insights on almost every small detail of Duvall’s career is mind-blowing. Also just great pod chemistry between him and Sean. What a treat.
My only surprise is that neither had seen the TV movie Ike: The War Years. Duvall is exceptional as Ike and the military history aspects of the movie are very well done. Imagine a somewhat expanded Patton. Probably not “green” but at least “yellow” for consideration in 10th slot in my book. Or maybe a good one for blue. The movie is hard to find but can be found on an okay DVD edition.
