Packages or Advice for March 2027

Hello!!

Seasoned solo traveler here. I am going to be going to Uni for school in the UK (as an American). I am studying fashion, and I really like reading, seeing sights, but not much of a history buff. I love any old architecture, art, stuff with purpose really.

Basically, I go home for Christmas but I can’t come home for my long easter break (March 22-April 2, not including the weekends with it). I wanted to see if anybody had any suggestions on where I can go to from London (preferably Luton, Heathrow, or London City, as Gatwick is really far from my school.) I’m also trying to keep a package under $350-$400, since I have a job at the moment but I don’t know how much I’ll make at my job in the UK.

Budget: <$400
Interests: Fashion, Reading, Architecture, Art, Nightlife, Cozy, Public Transportation Accessibility, Busy City
Location: London Luton, London Heathrow, London City Airports to anywhere in Europe

TIA!!!

International Student worried about Social Life

Hello!! I’m (F/22) studying at University for the Creative Arts Epsom for a Top Up Bachelors course. I already have a bachelors from here in the states but wanted to get a more focused bachelors in my field.

Anyways, with my age difference being 22 and some people starting at 18, I’m worried about the difficulty of making friends. I wouldn’t say I’m super mature already, I’m very outgoing and I do enjoy trying out new clubs and societies, as I’ve researched the school’s student union. I just worry it’ll be hard to make friends, since I am in student accommodation and that people find the stereotype of “internationals usually want to make friends with other internationals”

If anyone is from UCA Epsom or just in general has ANY tips for someone going into this blindly, let me know!! TIA

My bf (M23) and I (F22) are completely new to this.

Okay First off, let me start by saying, we started off as completely inseparable. Granted, we’ve only been together since April 2026. We’d see each other once a week, if not more. Then, his job during the school year came to an end (he’s a boarding school teacher in my state). After, he moves back home and it’s really hard for either of us to find time, considering we both have jobs (his summer job and my part time job nearly hits 30 hours a week and is scheduled far out)

I don’t mind just calling him on the phone and texting, it’s the fact that we can’t find a definite date for the next time to see each other before he comes back to my state. Another kicker is, I will be going to school in London basically a week and a half when he comes back to my state, becoming separated by time zones for a whole year.

I don’t know, this is new to both of us since we’ve never had a relationship this far apart, and I get anxious as is, so I just want to hear how others cope, deal with time zone changes, or anything else to offer.

TL;DR, boyfriend (of 3 months) and i having trouble finding time during summer to meet up, scared we won’t find time before girlfriend leaves for london. asking for advice on time zones, coping techniques, long distance advice, etc.
