Tried replacing my work laptop today with my Legion Go 2. I got everything done as usual just a little slower, smaller and more spelling mistakes because of the tiny keyboard.

I probably won’t do it again but it’s a neat little idea

I have had my 2025 G14 with the Ryzen 9 and RTX 5070ti since the beginning of 2026. It’s the best premium and portable gaming laptop in my opinion.

I’ve been using it almost every day since the day I picked it up used from Best Buy. The only issue i experienced was the occasional screen freezing when switching refresh rates. I reinstalled drivers and now it doesn’t do it. Once I dialed in some windows and Ghelper settings, it runs like a dream.

The screen is crispy and looks great in dark rooms. It has the best speakers I’ve heard on a laptop. Very loud and nice bass. I had a macbook pro 14 and the G14’s speakers are a little better in my opinion. I’m not an audiophile and i have slight hearing loss so take that with a grain of salt lol

Battery life is great even when limiting to 80% I get about 6 hours of mixed office work done and the fans stay off! It’s also crazy small, easy to walk around with and barely noticeable in a bag.

It runs every game I play at high/ultra settings at 1600p with good fps. The fans get a little loud if you are in a quiet room but I’m usually using bluetooth earbuds or have background noise that drowns the fan noise out.

Ive been seeing a lot of posts of some owners experiencing problems with theirs lately so I figured i’d post my positive experience to show not all of them are junk lol. I’m aware of some of the quality control issues and the bad design for the display cable (cmon Asus, really?) but there aren’t any other options for a high end GPU in a 14 inch frame.

Just picked up a Legion Go S Z1E 32/1TB from Best Buy, Open Box - Good for $800.

I am new to the handheld pc/gaming console world so my expectations were pretty low. Wow, this thing is pretty crazy. I’ve heard good things about the mobile AMD chips but I wasn’t expecting to be getting 60 fps (FSR 3/ no framegen/ medium settings 1200p) on GTA V enhanced while only pulling ~17 watts. Very surprised that I can play cyberpunk and Baldurs Gate 3 at respectable fps and quality on a gamepad. Battery life isn’t the greatest but I usually play near a wall outlet anyway.

Consider me a Legion Go glazer but hot damn i’m loving this thing! Very enjoyable, portable experience

The MBP looks a touch warmer but the blacks look equally as good on both screens in my opinion. What do you guys think ?

Recently replaced my legion 5 to the legion 5i with the OLED screen.

Wow, no regrets. OLED looks great. I figured the comparison would help someone if they’re on the fence between the two.

Both max brightness and highest resolution video setting.

This game is awesome!

With high settings and ray tracing off i’m getting high 50 fps in the heavy action scenes. With ray tracing it dips down to 30s-40s. But it runs great and looks good

Got these off of amazon but i’ve been looking for a better looking/smaller replacement. I attached them using high temp tape and away from the fans.

Anyone have experience with these laptop feet/kickstands or use a better one? Would love some recommendations or alternatives.

I moved it after taking these lol, too much sun glare
