Reactivated after 2 years—is it normal for a market to be 24/7 with unlimited toggle on/off, or is this a honeymoon phase?

I originally got approved for Grubhub a couple of years ago, but I never actually completed a delivery. At the time, the zone I wanted had a massive waitlist, and I could never manage to snag any scheduled blocks. Eventually, they deactivated my account due to inactivity.

I just got reactivated about two weeks ago, and things seem completely different now. My market appears to be open 24/7, and I can freely toggle "Taking Offers" on and off whenever I want without needing to schedule a block at all.

For those who have been delivering recently:
Is standard off-block freedom (24/7 availability and instant toggle) normal for most markets now?
Is Grubhub giving me temporary open access because my account was just reactivated?

If you deliver off-block like this, is the offer volume decent, or do scheduled drivers get almost all the priority?
Thanks for any insights!

GIVEAWAY] Free Walker Kessler Lakers Association (White) Jersey – Size 58 – Just pay shipping

I have this white Lakers "Association Edition" jersey (Kessler #14) that I need to move. I picked it up off DHgate, and unfortunately, it just doesn't fit me right. I’d rather a fan actually get some use out of it than just throwing it away or letting it sit in my closet.

Crucially: This is a replica from DHgate. I want to be 100% upfront about the quality so there are no surprises:
It has the Nike logo, the Leave a Legacy jock tag, and the Albert patch.

The overall condition is new and unworn, only tried on.
The Main Flaw: The small NBA logo patch on the back near the neck is a bit loose. It definitely needs a better heat press to secure it properly.

Size: The tag says Size 58. I’m a 60 as those are what the size is on my nike jerseys. This one is too snug.

The jersey itself is totally free. All I ask is that you cover the actual shipping cost (usually $5–$8 via USPS Ground, depending on your location in the US).

If you’re interested, drop a comment or send me a DM! I’ll include the original tags.

Someone left their fine vintage "apple juice" collection at the train station today…

Came across this lovely display right by the Ninth & Congress platform. Multiple half-filled bottles just neatly lined up on the wall.

It’s bad enough to litter, but leaving bottles of actual urine for commuters and transit workers to deal with is a whole new level of gross. I wonder how long it’ll take for NJ Transit to clean this up... Place your bets now.

Got the official "Ultimate" bag free from the DoorDash BagWagon in Manhattan... and the zipper completely broke after 2 hours of work. 🤡

The zipper on my trusted Packir delivery bag is finally just starting to fail after 7 months of heavy daily use, so I was hyped to get this new bag for free at the BagWagon pop-up in Manhattan today. I thought it was perfect timing.

Instead, it didn't even survive a single lunch rush.

As you can see in the video attached this is as far as the left side zipper goes before completely locking up and failing. Two hours. That's literally all it took. I had just put the bag down to store my bike helmet inside, and the zipper gave out completely.

Packir gives you over half a year of solid work, and DoorDash official quality can't even give you 120 minutes. Anyone else who picked one up today having issues, or did I just get an absolute dud?

This is why we can’t have nice things

Got back from a delivery and went to lock up my bike. Noticed that someone went through the trouble of ripping the flowers out of the planters just to throw them on the sidewalk. This was right out back near the Newport Light Rail Station. I don’t understand the mindset of people who feel the need to destroy a little bit of greenery for no reason.
