One question keeps coming up in conversations with D2C founders:

"Which logistics partner should I choose for my brand?"

Over the last few weeks, I spent time speaking with founders and operators across multiple D2C brands, trying to understand what actually works beyond sales pitches and feature lists.

One thing became clear pretty quickly. There isn't a single "best" logistics partner. The right choice depends on your order volume, delivery promise, geography, and where your business is headed over the next 12 to 18 months.

Here's what I kept hearing:

Shiprocket: Probably the easiest place to start if you're doing under \~1,000 orders/month. Multiple courier options and quick onboarding. As brands scale, though, weight-discrepancy disputes and slower support during peak periods came up in several conversations.

Quiklee Built around dark-store fulfillment with 10-minute, one-hour, and same-day delivery. It's strongest in metro markets, so it may not be the right fit for brands focused primarily on Tier 2/3 or pan-India distribution.

Delhivery: Strong network and pin-code coverage if you're happy working directly with a single carrier. The trade-off is that you don't have a built-in multi-carrier fallback when a lane faces issues.

Shadowfax: A major last-mile player that's expanding rapidly. Great momentum, though some brands mentioned that support and SLAs can vary in newer markets as the network grows.

Eshopbox: A solid 3PL for brands looking for warehousing, fulfillment, and marketplace integrations. If hyperlocal or ultra-fast delivery is your priority, there are more specialized options.

Shipsy: A software platform that connects multiple hyperlocal delivery partners. Your experience ultimately depends on the performance of the underlying delivery networks.

Unicommerce: Excellent as an order and inventory management backbone. Just remember it isn't a logistics provider. You'll still need courier and fulfillment partners alongside it.

Blue Dart: Premium, reliable, and often preferred for high-value or time-sensitive shipments. It also comes at a premium price, so it's usually best suited for brands where service reliability matters more than shipping cost.

My biggest takeaway from all these conversations is simple. Choosing a logistics partner isn't about picking the biggest brand. It's about finding the one that fits your stage of growth and operating model.
