Dropping into the big bowl

Dropping into the big bowl

Many moons ago, I would have dropped into the deep end of this bowl without hesitation.

Now I’m pushing 40 and anything with very feels like I’m definitely gonna eat shit.

Any tips on how to overcome this mental obstacle? Mid-size quarters are no problem, I feel like I just need to stomp down and send it…

ULPT Request: How to max out a $5,000/yr Educational Assistance

Employer offers this as a perk through 3rd party vendor. I don't have student loans, not interested in upskilling, nor do I want professional coaching.

Would love to hire my tattoo artist for "art lessons" or a music friend for "piano lessons" if you catch my drift.

My one wish…

Is that LA hot dog carts have a fkn vegan option!

NYC, Toronto vendors have had this for 10+ years.

I would never deny the sweet aroma of onions and peppers.

Tony's Darts Away Burbank - perfect dive bar with vegan eats!

One of the things I miss most living in LA is a good, honest dive bar. In a city where everything is wildly expensive, most places feel like a curated concept rather than just a plain old tavern or hole-in-the-wall.

That’s why I was so surprised by Tony’s Darts Away. Even though I’ve lived here for a decade, I rarely venture out to Burbank - but let me tell you, it was well worth the trip. They’ve got pub food galore, and the kitchen stays open until 10 pm every night. Almost the entire menu features a vegan counterpart, from wings and burgers to sausages, deep-fried pickles, and disco fries (which I recently learned are just a poor man’s poutine, but that’s a debate for another day).

Check em out! We'll be back for sure.

Most Sake houses have a few vegan things but wondering if there’s any spots that are really amazing?

Vegan Sushi With Attitude was a ghost kitchen, but I sure miss it.
