Give Fairies trinkets, not your name

Recently went to the NY Ren Faire and were entranced by the fairies overlooking Robin Hood during the Queen’s Declaration. My fairy, not knowing the customs, almost gave away her name before I stopped her. Instead, we offered trinkets (homemade ones and non-iron coins), which they accepted gratefully.

To Truffle and troupe, thank you so much for making the Faire a magical experience!

Any tips to look more protected without losing the “Lightly-Armored” vibe?

I didn’t want to wear full plate, as my sister is already wearing full armor, so I took a lot of inspiration from Burgundian Mercenaries in the 15th century. While budget constraints hinder what I can get right now, I’d love to hear y’all’s input on what I could acquire to look more fashionable

Edit/Addendum: Thank you all for the amazing feedback! I have a lot to consider in the next upgrades to my outfit, and appreciate the insight and trivia involving the period I’m vaguely reenacting

[Video] An Unfortunate Conclusion to the Event

I killed Wedge at the hangar door, and the rest of his goons began to swarm me. If I had a few more bullets, I would have walked out of that.

Oh well, achievement done. This was a fun event.

[Video] Assbreaker

A snippet of a compilation I made playing with the boys. As always, props to them for putting up with me!

[Suggestion] Open up the Terminal!

I know this is a popular opinion, but I at the very least want more voices calling out into the void in case BSG is peeking into these posts.

Terminal is too cool of a location for it to be trapped behind end-game PvE-only content; and thats coming from a PvE player. The developers who made this map put a lot of detail and effort into it, and I think it deserves to be seen by more players who are still grinding out the campaign.

Tarkov players love knowing all the minute details of possible encounters. We know the meta data of every boss spawn percentage and location, PMC spawns, loot tables, etc. We know what meter line to cross to piss off Black Division in the Icebreaker engine room. But what makes Tarkov special isn’t just the boss fights or the PvE content

What makes Tarkov special is the random factor; the human factor. Those sprinting footsteps pushing into a building you were looting, the rat hiding in the corner of the map. Those brief seconds in a firefight where you’re not sure you’re going to win. And thats missing when playing through endgame content like Icebreaker and Terminal.

Opening up Terminal for day raids would make the map so much more enjoyable; being able to play in the sandbox that BSG made is why I’ve poured so many hours into this game, and I’d love to see more like it

Of course, this isn’t barring the logistical challenges that come with opening a PvE only map to PvP; server space, new AI spawns, what AI spawns, and balancing are all factors that need to be addressed if they consider opening the map. Still, one can dream running into that map as a Scav, with the sun shining on the map and that stupid alarm not giving me PTSD.

My friends made the coolest base next to the Animal Pens. Welcome to Camp Big Boner

I haven't seen a lot of base layouts in Cascade Laboratories, but this space was very lovely, and well protected!

I've had a lot of fun playing PvE Tarkov in the past year. I've made tons of friends, made plenty of memories, and wanted to share some of the goofiness.

This is just a sample of a Pt 2 Compilation I made. Pt 1 is here if you want a longer compilation

I know self-advertising is not allowed on this sub, but the Lfg subreddit guided me to to the fellas in these clips. They are awesome, and I wholly recommend checking them out (Not a self-advertisement I promise)
