Any Leads for Emergency Positions? (LA County)

I've been applying like crazy to any and all jobs I can to get out of where I'm currently at. Just got my MPA about 6 months ago and thought I can finally apply and move on to administrative/analyst roles. I was just told by a coworker whose father works for a department in LA County that many of the emergency job postings aren't legitimate and are only being posted due to pressure from the union. They're being posted with the intention of hiring actually no one. This is so frustrating and discouraging to hear. I'm posting this to see if anyone can rebuttal this claim from being seriously considered or offered a job for any of the emergency appointment jobs or if this true.

I missed out on merch & need help copping shirts!

I went to the first show of the LA shows on Thursday & my boyfriend and I were rushing because we didn't want to miss Ben Bohme & unfortunately missed out on buying merch! My boyfriend really wants two shirts and I'm wondering if anyone going to any of the upcoming shows can cop two shirts for me!!

I can send $$ through Zelle or Paypal and can pick up! I'm in the Mid City area but flexible and willing to meet anywhere. Please can a fellow RDS fan help me out?!

Osteria Mozza Worth It?

My boyfriend's birthday is coming up and I want to treat him to an excellent dinner. We both have been wanting to try Michelin starred restaurants together but unfortunately I don't have Michelin star restaurant money where it's $400/pp.

Osteria Mozza is more within my budget and I made a reservation for us. And to my knowledge, they have consistently maintained a Michelin star so we get to cross something off our list.

Is it worth it? What dishes do you recommend? We just about love everything except he cannot eat pork. We also love trying new foods.

Where Can I Market Clothes In Person?

Some girlfriends and I have clothes we want to give new homes to, but unfortunately we all don't have our own space to hold a yard sale or anything. I think a possibilty can be local street markets but I'm not sure if they'd allow us since we aren't a legitimate business?

Does anyone have creative ideas on how to sell clothes in person? We aren't looking to do any online sales b/c it's tedious and too much of a hassle to ship out.

Approved Monthly Payment Amount Not Reflecting (IDR/PSLF)

Hello, any insight would be so greatly appreciated. I just recently completed grad school so I've been in the works of having my loan payment re-evaluated to ensure my grad loans are going to be PSLF eligible. My grad loans will no longer be in grace period as of 6/12/2026.

I work in the public sector and have roughly 5 years of eligible PSLF payments toward my undergraduate loans. 5 more years and I can get those forgiven.

I'm single, HH of 1, AGI: $62,251

I used the repayment feature and it said my monthly payment would be $174 on the IDR plan. It was approved on May 12. However I got a notice from Mohela that my monthly payment amount will be in the 600s and it's stressing me out.

Sorry to vent but life feels so bleak. I pursued higher education because I want to actually make a livable wage. I'm also passionate about the serving the community. But these recalculations are stressing me out, I simply cannot afford $600 in payments. Also my "boyfriend" expressed he's scared of long term commitment because of my student loan balance, and I feel so much pressure to have this taken care of ASAP even though realistically it will take 10 more years. It's currently sitting at close to $52K and I was betting on PSLF, I just did not think it'd be this expensive.
