Anyone else getting emails about financial aid changes?

I keep getting emails saying my financial aid has changed, but when I log in I find no differences. I remember from last year they would roll out new letters pretty frequently but made no actual changes, just one of the million weird things ofas does. I was wondering if anyone else is in a similar spot because if you are, then these emails are probably nothing.

Decline or ignore?

I know there's probably a million fin aid related posts on this subreddit right now but I have a question and I wanna see what you guys are doing. My zotaid says I have documents required in the become eligible section, which makes me worried i might not receive my funds come time for fees. I already viewed my financial aid letter and declined my loans so I have a "completed" on step 2. Problem is I still have an incomplete from step 1, I plan on not using loans or work study, and I noticed the forms are kinda confusing. The work study one says to decline and gives the option to decline, but also says to not submit the form at all if you're declining (i include a screenshot here). Would you guys say to submit and decline or ignore the form? And if I ignore it, do you guys think it'll stop me from getting my financial aid?

No difference on scale

For context, i (5'10 male) was about 200lbs, cut down to about 180 by mentally logging everything, then went on an actually tracked diet of 1500 calories a day which brought me down to 157lbs. I stuck to 1500 calories for about 4 months but I felt my workouts suffer and I had no energy so I brought it up just slightly to 1700-1800 calories a day.

My problem is after 2 weeks of this new slightly higher diet, im still exactly 157lbs, I haven't lost any weight on this new deficit. Should I go back down to 1500 or keep at it with the current plan?

Should I increase calories

I’ve been on 1500 calories for about 4 months and have lost a lot of weight as a 5’10 21 year old male (I’ve come down to about 157 lbs). I feel like I still have some way to go as I still have some belly fat left, but I’m all out of energy all the time and I feel like my workouts are suffering because of it (weights and light cardio 4x week). Should I increase to a more modest deficit like 1800 calories a day or stick to 1500?

How much water for creatine?

I’ve always wanted to try creatine but the thing that always stopped me was the amount of water I have to drink. I’ve heard I need to drink a lot more water when on creatine and not drinking enough can cause some bad side effects. To your minds, are there any actual effects from not drinking enough water while on creatine? What are they? And how much water should you actually drink when on creatine? (If it helps to narrow down what I need, I’m a 5’10 158lbs man)

What do I do here?

For context, almost a year ago I was 195 lbs. Over about 8-ish months I dropped to 180 not really doing much. About 4 months ago (the start of spring quarter at my college). I decided to start an actual tracked deficit to lose weight properly. I’m a 5’10 male and dropped to around 1500-1600 calories. I’ve sustained this deficit perfectly over the last few months, but have noticed my progress has significantly slowed down recently. About 2 weeks ago I weighed myself, I came in at 160 lbs. I weighed myself again a few days ago and I was 158 lbs.

I’m just wondering what you all think could be the reason for the slow down. I’m thinking I got lighter so my maintenance calories went down, making my deficit smaller. Do you guys think that’d be accurate?

Also, the reason I wanna continue with the deficit is that I still have a bit of a belly. I want to try to get a lean and athletic physique but I know at some point I’m gonna have to return to maintenance and maximize protein to build muscle. My question here is, when would I do this? At this point I’m 5’10 158 lbs (with noticeable fat on my belly area). I’m moderately active (weight training and light cardio 4x a week), and I can feel the deficit eating into my energy. How much longer would you guys recommend staying on the deficit before coming back to maintenance?
