I am very interested in learning more about wine and winemaking. Learned quite a bit through the years from books, docs, taking intro courses in NYC, and travelling to wine regions but haven't taken it to the deeper level I would like to. Now that I live so close to such a respected wine region, I want to take advantage!

Curious if anyone has recommendations for a course on wine or if you know of any wineries that do some type of adult day camp where you can learn winemaking or immerse yourself.

Found lots of European programs that I intended to do on my work sabbatical but time escaped me.

My fiancee and I are uncertain with how much we should spend on a honeymoon.

Her argument, which feels relatively sound, is "its a once in a lifetime trip". She really wants to go to Africa next year, which has a ton of variance in cost. I'm naturally more fiscally conservative.

We are doing a minimoon in Kauai which will likely be ~15k, & we booked that before we realized how expensive Africa might be.

(We are also in a financially uncertain time, as she is up for a new job which may increase her annual TC by +500k, if she can nail it in the next 2 weeks.)

EDIT: grew up extremely low income and worked my ass off to get to this point. Not here to flex, we are not big spenders. We also just paid north of $100k for our wedding.

I am two months away from my wedding and I wanted to do some things to ✨glow up✨ a bit.

I had a hard and stressful summer (non wedding related) so I very much neglected all things wedding and wedding prep. I feel good about how I look but I’d like to feel great on the wedding day, particularly about my skin and hair. I got an under eye fat transfer in May which helped.

Any recs for treatments (like facials) that would be good to do 1-2 months before the big day? Local recs would be sooo helpful as I’m newer to SF. 🙏

Also a good hairdresser is something I am still on the hunt for so would appreciate any great pre-wedding hairdressers that do brondes!

Hi! I am looking to take my bestie out for a birthday dinner. She loves bistro type restaurants with good wine (more like natural wines, less old world wines). The problem with searching by wine is you get a lot of wine bars that serve really small/snackish plates so I am wondering if anyone has a rec for a place with a great dinner menu and great wine alongside it.

Having a slight cosmetic emergency lol 🫠 it's not thaaat serious but I would really appreciate some guidance.

In the last week, Population Hair Salon has cancelled my appointment twice. I leave for an extended trip on Tuesday and they couldn’t find a time for me before then. I had to take 2 days off of work for both instances so I am quite frustrated but more than anything, I need my hair done badly in the next 6 days.

I am new to SF so I have never tried any hair salons here. I am looking for a shoulder length cut and partial highlights to brighten and refresh. I have my wedding this year so I can't afford a bad haircut or colour as my hair doesn't grow quickly. If you have any suggestions for reputable salons or someone you know who can take an appointment at short notice, please please please let me know! I swear finding appointments is an olympic sport these days, thank you in advance!!!
