Unfamiliar with process

Hey everyone,
I’ll be moving from Texas to Boston area in August and I’ve found some great apartments I am going to be applying for. They already sent me the application, but I emailed the with some questions regarding income requirements. They replied with the email below, but I am wondering if it seems good/legit? To email them my SS card, and birth certificate sounds a bit scary. But like I said, not sure if this is the norm for that way.

Any advice is great.

Hi! I have found limited info/opinions on this place in the sub, so just wanted to ask again.

I’d be living in the 3b/2b or the 4b/2b if I decide on this. However, does anyone have any personal stories there? I’m moving that way from Texas for law school, and I’m a bit nervy. For undergrad, the only housing options around were apartment buildings, not houses/lease with houses. Although it’s new territory, I wouldn’t mind it. However, I think I’d prefer all bills in one/kind of more of a structured thing. Like I said, I’ve only ever lived in apartments, not really housing like a house house. My law school (Suffolk) is also pretty much walking distance from 7ink. I won’t be taking a car (in fact, anyone know of any cheap-ish ways to move all my stuff across country?) so I prefer walking distance to most things. I also really like the whole “community events” things. I know every apartment has faults, but do the pros outweigh the cons here?

Also, does anyone perhaps have photos or videos of the 240sqft rooms in the place? (I won’t be able to make a trip to Boston beforehand so I’m going in semi-blind)
