Hey everyone, I'm planning to get some blood work done to try and figure out the root cause of some ongoing skin issues.
For a bit of background, I work out actively and currently take Finasteride, a daily multivitamin, and fish oil.
Here is the list of tests I currently have in my cart. Are there any tests I should add to this list, or anything here that seems unnecessary to check?
Hormone Panel:
Testosterone (Total)
Free Testosterone
DHT (Dihydrotestosterone)
Prolactin (PRL)
Metabolic & Blood Sugar:
HbA1c (Glycated Haemoglobin)
Vitamins, Minerals & Biomarkers:
Vitamin D Profile
Zinc
Ferritin (Iron stores)
I saw a deal on this channel for a Happy Culture yeast protein pack of two. However, when I received the product, I only received one pack. I have a video unboxing and the outer box was damaged. It seems like customer service is not very helpful. I need help returning the product or getting my money back.
Ordered this minimalist sunscreen on 50% off is this good deal or regular price
So I went to a dermatologist because I was getting a lot of pimples and my skin was also getting darker over time. Before visiting him, I was trying things on my own like adapalene, azelaic acid, and sunscreen, but I wasn’t very consistent and honestly didn’t see much improvement. So I thought it’s better to stop self-experimenting and consult a dermatologist.
It’s been around 1.5 months since I started the treatment he prescribed, but I still don’t see much improvement, which is making me confused whether I should continue with him or take a second opinion.
This is what he prescribed:
- Salicylic acid face wash — twice daily
- Clindamycin + Nicotinamide gel — apply on full face
- Night cream for acne marks
- Multivitamins
- Antibiotics
One thing that surprised me was he didn’t prescribe any moisturizer or sunscreen. In fact, he told me to stop using sunscreen because according to him it was causing pimples.
I just wanted to get some advice from you guys. Should I continue the treatment for longer or consider visiting another dermatologist for a second opinion?
Attached is the current condition of my skin/pimples.
This is on my mom’s arm. It started getting worse slowly and now there are multiple dark, rough patches with itching. We’re planning to see a dermatologist tomorrow , but wanted to know if anyone has seen something similar before. Any idea what this could be?
