5, 10 or 40 gallon enclosure for baby hognose?

I'm looking to setup an enclosure for a baby hognose. I've read conflicting info about sizing the enclosure. It seems like I have two options:

  1. Set up a 5 gallon enclosure to start. Some people argue this is better because they are less stressed in a small area and you can more easily manage their needs in a smaller enclosure. Some argue this is worse because setting up a proper temperature gradient in such a small space is tricky.

  2. Other people recommend to just get a 40 gallon right away and make sure it has lots of cover and hides because the stress of sizing up enclosures as they grow is worse in the long run.

I'm not super concerned about the cost, as it's manageable for me either way. I just want whatever is best for the snake, and easiest for me to set up and maintain. What are your suggestions?

iScooter RX7 Pro Grip Tape Replacement

I have an iScooter RX7 Pro. It comes with a rubber layer on top of the deck that looks like it's just stuck on with glue. I'd like to replace it with skateboard grip tape to give my feet better grip.

Before I start peeling off that rubber layer, I thought I'd ask here: am I correct in assuming the rubber layer can just peel off leaving a flat plastic tray underneath? Is the rubber doing anything other than offering grip (eg weatherproofing)? Can I safely replace it with grip tape or is this a bad idea?

Also, I'm not interested in your opinion or criticism about iScooter or the RX7 Pro. I obtained this scooter for super cheap, it's just for cruising around the park where we have our trailer, and it's working just fine for me. I just want to add some grip because I'm typically riding to and from the beach with wet crocs on and the rubber "grip" that comes on it is a bit slippery under those conditions.

▲ 5 r/Starlink_Support+2 crossposts

I'm planning on working from my RV this summer, which will be on a seasonal site at a trailer park/resort. They have told me that their AC power demand can exceed supply when everyone is using Air Conditioning in the summer. That leads me to think I should probably have a UPS/battery for our starlink mini so I can continue working.

Has anyone set something like this up? I see some dedicated batteries on Amazon that attach to the mini. I also see some info saying the Anker Solix c300 dc is a popular battery bank to use with the mini?

I'm just looking for recommendations from people who have actual experience using the starlink mini off a battery backup. I'd be using it probably about 10 hours per day (8 hour work day plus evening use) and it doesn't need to fully power the mini that entire time but if the power dips during the day it needs to keep me covered. Also bonus points if I can charge my laptop (via usb c) while also powering the mini.

Hi All,

I'm a new starlink mini owner and I didn't love any of the tripod adapters I found online so I made my own version in fusion 360. If you print this and use it yourself, drop me a comment with your feedback.
