Trying to decide on whether CPU swap would be an upgrade

Current specs:

- CPU: Intel i9 12900K

- Cooler: NZXT Kraken 360 RGB 78.02 CFM Liquid Cooler

- Motherboard: Gigabyte Z790 Aoruse Elite AX ATX LGA1700

- RAM: TeamGroup T-Force Delta RGB 2 x 16GB DDR5-6000 CL30

- SSD: Forgot, been a while since I got em but one’s a WesternDigital 2TB ssd and the other’s a Samsung 1TB ssd.

- GPU: Geforce RTX 4070 Super 12GB

- PSU: Corsair RM850x (2021) 850 W 80+ Gold fully modular ATX

Some of these parts are very new and haven’t been installed yet (Motherboard and RAM) cause I’ve been having a BSOD issue with my rig ever since I built it January of last year. I can’t pinpoint what causes it and trust me, I’ve tried several different things to include swapping out the RAM (Twice), some BIOS adjustments with the RAM and cooler, reseating SSD and RAM, fully wiping the OS (several times) and swapping out PSU.

Ultimately I’ve resorted to swapping out the whole thing and calling it a day. I’m not well versed in CPU quality and a friend at work suggested getting the i7 14700K. Will it perform better than my current i9 12900K? I use my pc for a variety of things but it’s mostly for college course work, gaming and the occasional stream a few times a week.

Any insight from you guys on which is better for my purposes would be greatly appreciated!

Logitech G923 + FH6

I bought a G923 today as my first racing sim wheel but I can’t get the settings right for the life of me. I tried some variations in the GHub settings, then some youtube vids, but nothing works.

The issue I have specifically is the vehicles don’t turn as much as I turn the wheel.

My settings in GHub

- Sens: 50

- Operating range: 900

- centering spring: 15

I haven’t messed with the settings of FH6 too much other than what I’ve seen in YT videos but none of them seem to have much impact so I reset to default after about 3hrs.

If any of you have any tips or anything, I’d really appreciate it!

First time watcher. Great show. Can’t wait to see what the lore is behind the RX-7

Ft. what I like to call the Super Duper Sport Mode dash [MEME]

On a side note pretty sure I can hear my brakes squeaking so I’m going to get her serviced before 3K miles
