Does Austrian Embassy Accept E-Apostilled Documents?

Does Austrian Embassy Accept E-Apostilled Documents?

Hi! I’m currently preparing my requirements for a Residence Permit – Student in Austria and wanted to ask if anyone here has experience with e-Apostilled documents.

Starting May 2026, the DFA in the Philippines only issues e-Apostilled PSA documents (like Birth Certificates).

Any idea if these are honored and accepted for residence permit application in Austria, or will they ask me to provide a physical/paper apostille instead?

Would really appreciate any insight or recent experiences. Thank you!

E-Apostilled PSA

Hi! I’m currently preparing my requirements for a Residence Permit – Student in Austria, and I’m a bit confused about apostilles.

Starting May 2026, the DFA in the Philippines only issues e-Apostilled PSA documents. Has anyone here successfully used a DFA e-Apostilled Birth Certificate for an Austrian residence permit application? Did the Austrian Embassy in Manila or the immigration authorities in Austria accept it, or did they still require a physical/paper apostille?

Would really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thank you!

Moving to Vienna for Masters — Residence Permit Questions

Hi!! I recently got an admission offer from the University of Vienna and I’m already in the process of preparing the requirements for my residence permit. For context, I live in the Philippines.

I already have the list of documents I need to gather, but I’m still a bit confused about a few things:

  1. Do I still need to have my passport apostilled, or is it only my birth certificate and NBI/police clearance that need an apostille?

  2. Do I need German translations for all my documents even if they’re already in English?

Would really appreciate any help or advice from people who’ve gone through the same process. Thank you!!

Master's in Communication Science Results

Hi! Do you guys have any idea when the results for the Master’s in Communication Science program will be released? I applied to another program as well and got the result today, but sadly, I got rejected. Now I’m just hoping for the best with this last chance in the CommSci program.

If anyone has any idea or info, I’d really appreciate it. It would honestly help ease my anxiety a bit hehe. Thanks!
