The opening lyrics of prajnaparamitopadesa to quell 7 calamities and this khvarena inscription ( these were made by predecessors of skeptics) are based off of Madhyamaka, by Nagarjuna.
In game Nagarjuna is the person who led the darshan Nagarjunites, who later devolved into the order of skeptics. Thanks to Naganvaya in temple of space we know the original Nagarjunites had different philosophy than the present order of skeptics who also collude with the abyss order.
IRL Nagarjuna has been revered as The Second Buddha. He is depicted with snakes forming a hood over his head. The story behind this is the original buddha had the Prajnaparamita sutra(sounds familiar right? Yeah) but the world was not spiritually mature for that kind of knowledge. So he entrusted the Nagas(divine serpents ) who lived in a kingdom at the bottom of ocean. Centuries later the Nagas acknowledged Nagarjuna and invited him to gift the hidden text. In another legend, Nagarjuna sits outside deeply engrossed in Prajaparamita but the sun was brutally hot. So several nagas spread their hood behind him like an umbrella.
Nagarjuna talks about “emptiness”. He opposes nihilism as well as eternalism. His idea of emptiness is kind of like how everything exists as interconnected and as causality, a tree exists as it is not because there is some kind of “tree essence”, but because of its environment, sun, soil and a seed. Things just cant exist independently as their own and are nonpermanent( opposing eternalism), they exist in an emptiness. And this emptiness isnt nothingness, cause then it could never change, grow and interact(opposing nihilism).
(This reminds me of the segment problem cause they are just existing unchanging which is clearly not in line with this philosophy. They are just Zandik essence of different ages stuck there eternally unable to grow or change)

Nagarjuna also teaches how emptiness is just a tool and not the whole truth. While we think of Nirvana as an escape from the cycle of birth and death, Nagarjuna taught Samsara is Nirvana. What he meant was that there was no clear division or there didnt exist a space called nirvana. It was just the clarity where you saw the world for what it is, existing in emptiness interconnected with everything. Understanding causality.
Now when i read this i felt like thats what datattore had to do. His domain is called “binding fields of universal nirvana” and cutscene where he burns is called “crucible of causality”. This is very much in line with the Nagarjuna teachings. His past segments all come together melt into this crucible(burning irminsul) and now the whole soul of zandik exists in emptiness. Now his soul can fully taste cause and effect. This is how he achieved nirvana ig.
