Passed G2 Newmarket

I passed my g2 this tuesday in newmarket!! Thank you all so much for answering my many many questions in this subreddit!!!
I had a few tiny mistakes, like wide turns and incorrect vehicle position, but other than that it was super easy. I got scared that the test was so short and I was definitely going to fail, but I got it on my first try!!! :)) Next stop my full G license in a year, hopefully!

Seatbelt light- Passenger

Hey all! I have my g2 test in 2 days. On my 2008 toyota yaris, the seatbelt light is on, even if the passenger is wearing their seatbelt.
There are no red lights on the dashboard!!! The seatbelt works!!!
I was wondering if it was okay to bring the car into my drivetest, with this light on?

Studying for an important exam all night

Hey guys! I have a super important psych exam coming up this friday, and I plan on pulling an all nighter to study for it tonight (Tuesday night into wednesday morning)
The reason why I wanted to stay up is because I had another exam today that I prioritized for the last 3 ish days, and I want to catch up on my exam content for friday now. I have studied for it since the second week of June, little by little.
My question is, how do I utilize my time well? I don’t want to sit there and just stare into my ipad wondering what to tackle first, so I wanted to ask what I could do to use my time wisely.

Thank you!! Send prayers for my exam please🙏 😭

Are HLT courses easy?

Hey guys! Question about hlt courses (health policy major)

I’ve only taken A and B courses so far, but I was wondering if C and D courses are also as easy as these. I know they won’t be exactly the same since C and D courses are higher-level than A and B courses, but I wanted to know if they are still generally considered easy.

Thank you!!

Full courses & Second Sub

Hey all!! So I took 3 courses this summer, and I’m completing my first year this summer. (So second year starting fall) I have 2 full session courses, PSYA02 & HLTB50. Psych demands a lot, and health humanities is going easier on me. However, I have a second sub session course starting next week (HLTB40) and I can’t help but feel a little nervous. Ofc, the second sub session course is going to be way more fast paced, and I feel like I have to shift my attention from psych and health humanities. My biggest concern is psych bc I do need to get into my POSt. I know its silly because there are other people with like 6 courses and still doing the best, but I can’t help but feel scared of all thats going to hit me in July/August! Like, I have a midterm for my second sub session course in 2 weeks, and I have a health humanities project due that week closer to the day. I know second year is about to hit me like a truck, I took 5 courses in each sem. However, if anyone could offer any advice as to how I can manage my time, and still feel like I’m not losing my mind would really help. I appreciate it :)

Which car for my G2?

Hey all!! I have my drive test soon, and I was conflicted between my 2 cars. I either A: Have my dads Santa Fe, 2020. Pros it has all the features, cons, Its a big car so parking is difficult.
B: My mom’s 2008 toyota Yaris. Pros: Tiny car, I practice in it the most. Cons: It has some issues which we could fix but we are unsure.

*I’m taking my test in Newmarket btw!!*

Thanks guys

HLTB40 With Prof Marani

Hi! If anyones in the class, drop your instagram below to start a gc, or if anyone has a gc made already that would be great :)

For the students who took prof Marani: Is he a good prof? I’m kinda worried about the sub session since its a lot of content into 2 months. Is she strict on attendance? I have an exam the day the class starts, literally back to back so idk if I’ll be able to join the class, and I’m lowkey a little scared he’ll flag me for not attending.
Furthermore, how is the content for anyone who took HLTB40? Was it pretty much straightforward?

Psychology B, C & D level

Hii! I’m heading into my second year, and since course selection is soon, I had a question about the psychology major.
First off, I know the B courses you take unlock C courses and so on. So my question is, what are the easiest B level courses in psychology? I don’t prefer classes with more bio/neuroscience based stuff, and I was looking for courses that are relatively easy to do well. To add, I’m not the very best at test taking as I get anxious, but I’m alright with assignments because again I know what to expect whereas exams I do not.

Thanks everyone!!

Fall/winter course selection

Hey all, this may be a silly question, however I wanted to ask: How can I see if a course is being offered in the winter? I have a course that conflicts with my schedule but when I search it up for my enrolment cart it only says I can take it in the fall rn, and theres no option for winter. So I wanted to see if there was any way I could see if the courses in the fall were also available in the winter.

Again, sorry if this might be a silly question. Thanks!!!

Prof McPhee (PSYA02) (Uoft scarborough campus specifically)

I’m currently taking psya02 with prof McPhee. She seems super sweet, but I’m a little scared nonetheless. The final is 45%, and the midterm is 35%. I also did not attend lectures as much as I have some things going on, but I’ve noticed that she takes her information directly out of the textbook. So my question is: for those who took psya02 with Prof. McPhee, or are taking it now, should I be more focused on the textbook, or lectures? Also, any general tips would be super helpful. Thank you!!

Tahajjud and Sleep

Asalamualaikum. As the Day of Arafat is approaching, I wanted to set my intentions to pray Tahajjud the day of. However, its also the day before eid and I have many preparations to do. Fajr is at 3:50 am for us, and with the work I have to do, I would have to go to bed after Suhoor and Fajr. So my question is this: do I have to sleep to pray Tahajjud? I have heard mixed opinions on it, and I just want the right answer so I can pray in the correct way.

Jasak Allah, Eid Mubarak!

Car light G2 concern

Hey all!! So I want to bring my mom's toyota yaris (2007 i believe) to my G2 testing. However, the airbag light is on. Theres definitely something wrong with something under the seat, because when I'm driving and someones sitting in the passenger seat it says they don't have their seatbelt on, when they do. My question is, do you all think that I'm going to be rejected on the spot if my airbag light is on? The car is 100% still driveable, my mother uses it sometimes, otherwise we use our primary car. I just wanted to know in advance, so l dont get rejected the day of. I'll insert a pic down below. Thanks!!!
**Just to specify, the exclamation mark at the bottom (!) is just my handbrake. That goes away when I drive!!!!!**

Which location is the best for G2 Testing?

Hi all!! I’m going to hopefully get my g2 license soon. I have 2 options for locations: Toronto Port Union or Newmarket. Which in your opinion is more easier? Easier meaning that the examiner is a little more lenient. My father tells me to go to Port Union because his friend whos an instructor also says port union is better. My friends yell at me saying not to go to Port Union, and that its easier to pass in Newmarket. Please tell me what I should do!!
