Its well known that world ending events pop up every few weeks in Tamriel and need some insane luck or good planning to get out of, but that makes me question something: What event has harmed Tamriel the most out of everything?
Anything from wars to Daedric invasions to gods dying… anything which has harmed Tamriel counts.
I have hundereds of hours in this game and I just discovered a new location I never saw before: Frostflow lighthouse between dawnstar and winterhold. Wanna know what a random lighthouse in the middle of nowhere has? A falmer and chaurus infestation, becouse why tf not at this point, and not a small one at that. Appearantly the chaurus either dug their way to the cellar or the cave collapsed but whatever happened it killed everyone on the lighthouse after the Falmer attacked the place.
But this madness doesnt stop here. No no no, thatd make my life WAAAAY TOO EASY. The cellar connected to a medium sized Falmer cave with the highest density of chaurus I have seen out of anywhere else on the map and ends with, get ready for this affront to the gods, a mammoth sized chaurus called “chaurus reaper”
And what is the grand prize for everything you just went through? A level based, generic end of dungeon chest with no unique reward whatsoever. Also an active effect called “sailors repose” which increases healing spell potency by a whopping 10%
I love this game but couldn’t they have lessened the Falmer caves JUST A LITTLE BIT?
People argue about which Daedric artifacts are better and who is the better prince and who is the wort and which quest is best…
They all suck.
And its becouse of one simple reason: you cant skip their dialouges. Why Bethesda?
The Daedric princes have longer expositions and slower speech speed than any mortal so why are they the only people whos dialouge is unskippable? Are their voices coded with an extra layer of Bethesda jank? The first time, SURE, you wanna listen but on the 259th replay you kinda wanna just skip the damn speech about why the demon is totaly justified in this heinous act and you just wanna get it over with!
When he first confesses it to you, he says it would make a crater the size of waterdeep. Alrigth, so if we just explode him anywhere in the shadow cursed lands the absolute will die rigth? So why do we need to get into point blank range for a nuke to be effective? I obviously wasnt gonna blow up my boy but I thougth IF i wanted to i could just detonate him in AT LEAST at moonrise and it would do the trick.
Fast forward to the netherbrain figth and IF gale blows up there(if you do this you are a monster) no damage is caused to the city? HOW? Did larian misremember the blast radious or did gale just totally fumble the calculations?
