Hey guys. So Im hitting 30 pretty soon and it got me thinking about a dynamic thats common here but not talked about honestly. Living with your parents in your 30s.
In our culture its normal to stay at the family house until marriage. But once u cross into your 30s I feel like the rules shift. For guys, if u make your own money and help with bills but still live at home, do people secretly judge u? I'm asking because Im in this situation. I can actually afford to rent elsewhere and I even tried living on my own for 1 year and months. But honestly the loneliness completly killed me. It drained me and I lost all my motivation so staying home just makes more sense for my peace of mind.
But I wonder if people accept it just because rent in Casa is insane, or if theres a stigma even if u stay for mental health.
For women the pressure is diffrent. Theyre almost expected to stay until marriage but do people start giving the side eye when a girl reaches her 30s at home?
I want to know about the social stigma. Are we getting more understanding or is there still that silent judgement at family gatherings? Have u delt with it personally? Let hear your honest opinions.
