Anyone else struggle with game flow after watching world cup soccer?

Serious question. I’m a huge NFL fan, but I got deep into the World Cup and it completely warped my perception of pacing.

I was just watching the Patriots vs Colts preseason and the speed of the game was so off. Between the huddles, the resets, and the constant breaks, it felt so slow.

I know preseason football is always a sloppy slog, but man, the contrast was crazy. Anyone else experience this transition or does your brain just adjust once the regular season speed kicks in?

Show Me Your Most Trusted

I purchased this Marathon GSAR in 2012 and have abused it steadily since. I rarely take it off and I fall asleep to the soft glow of tritium nightly.

It has been a watch, the occasional hammer, a shitty compass and a knuckle duster once. It has never been serviced and still keeps time... somewhat... with weekly adjustments. I have finally gotten another watch... temporarily while it gets a well deserved overhaul and fresh tritium. Show me your most trusted.

Weekend Berny's Gone Radioactive

Gents if you want your wife to go ballistic just wear your lumies bed. I just got the Berny AM339MS and of course I just had to do it. The bloody watch actually lit up the room so brightly that it drove my wife absolutely nuts. Berny for the W!

Everything So Small

My neighbor has just gotten into building or rather assembling watches from Aliex parts. He looked pretty badass doing it and the outcome was quite nice.

So I get on AliExpress and start buying all sorts of dials, hands, cases, movements - the works. My buddy was kind enough to let me borrow his screwdrivers, tweezers and tools for the build. Everything arrived and now I have a problem. Even with 20x magnification it's infinitely tiny and I have to hold it so close to my face. How the hell do you guys do this? Is it just a matter of getting better magnification loupe or what? Thanks for your help. I have normal vision and don't wear glasses.

Let's Go Back to 2013! Hexa K500 Premier Edition - No. 081.

It spring cleaning time and going through all my junk in the garage I found this little gem that I forgot all about. The Hexa K500 Premier Edition - No. 081. Wound it up and the smooth as butter Sii NE15 came to life. Thirteen years and it doesn't miss a beat. Gonna go for a service and lube then hopefully not lose it for another 10 years.
