I've tried all the Pelagos models and boiled it down to the 39 or Ultra. I have about a 6.75" wrist.
For reference I'm wearing an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean (39.5 mm), Seamaster Professional 300m (42mm), Aqua Terra (41mm), Speedmaster (42mm) and Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon, Apollo 8 (44.25mm).
I like divers with high legibility and the purpose of the Pelagos would be to get a rugged utility piece in titanium. I'm accustomed to "larger" watches (as highlighted above).
I might be blinded by having looked at these so many times by now, but to me it seems like the Pelagos Ultra fits a wrist like mine, but I wonder if anyone has been wearing it over longer periods of time with a similar wrist size?
The Pelagos 39 seems like the safe choice, it's got the right proportions to what most would normally advise for, however, I feel like my Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 39.5mm is a tad small nowadays (it was my first luxury watch almost 10 years ago) and I fear that the Pelagos 39 would be too similar in proportions with it.
Specifically I feel that my Planet Ocean tends to occupy the upper (12'oclock) portion of my wrist, leaving a lot of the bracelet to be shown on the 6-o'clock part of my wrist (if that makes sense), where my larger watches tends to have most of the dial occupy the wrist.
