Keystone XR608 Zoom Everflash

Posting here to show this cool 110 camera, as well as pictures of the manual for it which i cannot find anywhere else online. I thought it best to digitise them somehow for anyone else out there!

These just arrived!

Since the Minolta 110 Zoom is out of commission due to the winder sometimes fully advancing and sometimes not, I'm going to load a roll in my new Tasco 110 Binocular Camera and go see if it works!

Edit: Didn't get that far, I just got the binoculars and the shutter isn't opening when I the shutter release is pressed, so I have to tear the camera down and see what's up.

Used a Pentax110 photo on Lobster film in the poster for my upcoming feature-length documentary! Poster on final slide

I love the Pentax so much, truly such an amazing piece of equipment and have used it for stills in almost every film I've made!

Gambled on a Minolta 110 Zoom and Lost

I bought an untested Minolta 110 Zoom, tried to run a test roll through and the film advance locked, took it apart and fixed it, tried to run the roll through and had more mechanical problems, fixed those, but now had no time to develop the test roll before vacation, so.I gambled and took it, and shot 3 rolls through it, got the scans back from Brooktree today, and at least half are like this.

I knew the risk of taking an untested camera, thankfully I also took some 35mm.

Some 110 vacation pics

Did a trip from Helsinki to Paris, Lyon, Montpelier and Barcelona. Besides my two 35mm cameras, I took a chance on my Fujica Pocket 250. It seemed to work, but I never got rolls through it yet. So I took 4 Lomography Sun Kissed 92 rolls with me and gave it a go.

I really love the vibe of these, the little light leaks and the grain really make them feel like memories. Almost like pictures from way back, but they were from a month ago lol.

Light leaks are still kind of a mystery, nothing seems wrong with the camera. And they're not on all the photos, so not entirely sure.

The rolls also went through a CT scanner twice, inside a Domke film bag though. Same as the 35mm rolls and they all worked just fine. Should not have anything to do with the light leaks though, it would look different.

Anyway, 110 pocket film is great and definitely can recommend Lomography. I have a few of their cameras and I love how they're keeping this format alive.

PX27M battery not working in my Rollei A110?

I recently inherited a Rollei A110 from my grandpa who has sadly passed away. To get it running I bought a PX27M battery because that's what pretty much every blog or video talking about the A110 recommends as a replacement for the original V27PX mercury batteries.

When I opened the battery compartment an old mercury battery that my grandpa must have put there in the 80s or 90s came tumbling out. Comparing this battery to the PX27M I noticed that the poles are the other way around. On the new battery the + is on the button side and the - on the flat side. When I place the new battery in the compartment it doesn't make contact since the flat side doesn't protude past the casing. I'm a bit stumped because I can't find anyone talking about this online.

The old battery must still have some juice because when I put it in I get the blinking green light that indicates slow shutter speed. With the new battery I get nothing. I don't exactly want to risk shooting a roll with a decades old battery though since it might mess up the exposure.

Does anyone have any idea why the PX27M is not working for me?

Lomo Orca negatives scratched but how?

Shot Orca with Pentax Auto 110. Got the scan back. Over-exposure aside, you will notice the negatives got scratched both up and down.

My instinct was the lab screwed up. I picked up the negatives and found the scratch mark appears as black when inspected w naked eyes. Funnily though, neither the glossy surface of one side nor semi-glossy of the other (back) bear were scratched in that the glossiness was slashed and broken. The "scratch mark" is INSIDE the glossy surfaces. It makes me wonder if it was Lomo's manufacturing defect to start with? Unless the lab actually scratched it but glossy surfaces were coated onto it during development? I know nothing about film development.

Any insight from collective wisdom of sub members?

found some old film in my grandpas pentaxauto110 that was shot in the 80s/90s - i got it developed and these are some of the results

there were also some pictures of family members which were shot in the same lighting. you can definitely still see the faces and identify people. won’t post these here for privacy reasons but maybe that info is helpful for someone if you find an old undeveloped film. its definitely worth the try to get it processed!
