Some of my 110 vacation pics

Did a summer trip through Paris, Lyon, Montpelier and Barcelona. Besides my two 35mm cameras, I took a chance on a Fujica Pocket 250 camera with 110 pocket film. With 4 rolls of Lomography Sun Kissed 92 film, I think it did well.

For a random bin camera I bought for 10$, film dragged through a CT twice in a Domke bag.

Love the grain and light leaks, feels like pictures from old memories. Even though the trip was just a month ago.

Some 110 vacation pics

Did a trip from Helsinki to Paris, Lyon, Montpelier and Barcelona. Besides my two 35mm cameras, I took a chance on my Fujica Pocket 250. It seemed to work, but I never got rolls through it yet. So I took 4 Lomography Sun Kissed 92 rolls with me and gave it a go.

I really love the vibe of these, the little light leaks and the grain really make them feel like memories. Almost like pictures from way back, but they were from a month ago lol.

Light leaks are still kind of a mystery, nothing seems wrong with the camera. And they're not on all the photos, so not entirely sure.

The rolls also went through a CT scanner twice, inside a Domke film bag though. Same as the 35mm rolls and they all worked just fine. Should not have anything to do with the light leaks though, it would look different.

Anyway, 110 pocket film is great and definitely can recommend Lomography. I have a few of their cameras and I love how they're keeping this format alive.

First experience flying with film

My first summer traveling with film though some airports. Here's my experience with Amsterdam, Helsinki and Barcelona. I'm flying using a Domke film bag, so not the special treatment manual inspections.

- Helsinki

Bag got pulled aside, she opened it and took one glance at the film and shrugged, let me through.

- Amsterdam

Even if you want special treatment you can't, the conveyer people are physically separate from the security staff on the other side. Some boomer saw the whole camera bag and threw a small fit and pawned the search over to a younger coworker. The guy laughed and said "probably just one of those film bags".

Did do a quick swab, probably a procedure they have to follow. Let me through just fine. I know what they said btw because I'm Dutch, I understand the hobbit language.

- Barcelona

Sitting here writing this in the airport. Went through the scanner with the Domke bag in the carry on, they didn't even check it. Out of all the bags there they checked just one, unlike other airports. Seemed they didn't give AF.

The film bag probably does do its job, because obviously they cannot see through it. I've also seen a test where someone ran various film stock through CT and X-ray machines, so should be good. Only had ISO 200 and 400 on me, and some BW.

Anyway just thought I'd share my experience with these airports, hope it helps someone. I'll also update on the quality of the photos after scanning with a protective bag.

The cat and the chip

Hanging out on the balcony with my cat, getting him to pose using a chip. Well, reach for the chip lol. Shot on Instax SQ40.

Inherited some cameras

Visiting my dad during vacation. And he's quite excited about me getting into film photography for the past year. Must run in the family, as he's been a professional photographer for years. He gave me his first camera (Canon FT QL). And a bunch of gear, lenses, light meters, filters... And two other cameras. I am especially excited about the Agfa 120 camera. Now I can shoot 35, 110 and 120.

Super interesting to see his collection too. Old Soviet cameras, box cameras and much more.

Good thing I paid for extra hand luggage 😂
