I don't know if I'm crazy

I'm a 17 year old girl, and a while ago I was sent to the eye hospital because they were concerned. This has happened to me a few times. I got given glasses for the first time when I was 9 or 10. At the eye hospital, the optician brought up the possibility of a mild form of albinism. He shined a light into my eyes and said 'I don't see any obvious differences in retinal structure' and then he wondered if I had retinal dystrophy but said he wouldn't bother checking because I'm young so I'm probably fine. My vision can't be fully corrected with glasses, I have quite extreme photophobia, and very mild nystagmus that only occurs occasionally with an astigmatism in one eye. I had white blonde hair as a small child that darkened to like a weird honeyish shade of blonde, and I have very pale skin but I have a lot of moles and birth marks etc which shows pigmentation so idk and my eyes are very light but they're green so idk. They used to be blue and they turned green. My boyfriend told me that when he first saw me he thought I had albinism but I just am not sure. I know obviously that none of this necessarily means I have it and I'm obviously not asking for a diagnosis but I'm just wondering if it's crazy for me to think I might. My mother immediately dismissed the idea as ridiculous, I'm wondering if maybe it is ridiculous for me to even think I might. I really don't know.

How are my homies in Europe holding on?

I know albinism doesn't necessarily mean you can't stand heat, but I sure as hell am dying 😭

To people with albinism who don’t have any kind of blonde hair…

Do people think you don’t have albinism because of that? My hair is kinda ginger/brown so people think I’m fully white when I’m fully black and have albinism.
