Who makes the best birthday cakes in Dallas?

I'm trying to find a bakery in Dallas for an upcoming birthday and would love some recommendations. Looking for places that actually taste amazing, not just pretty Instagram cakes.

Open to: • custom birthday cakes • vintage/lambeth style cakes • fun or Unique flavors • cupcakes or smaller cakes too

Bonus points if they're reliable, easy to order from, and worth the price. What spots do y'all always recommend?

Travel to and from AT&T Stadium

Hi everyone!

I have tickets to a World Cup game in July, and was in the middle of planning my trip and was wondering what it is like getting to and from AT&T Stadium on a game day. I know it probably won't be as busy as a Cowboys game, but how long does it usually take to get there and back with game-day traffic? Is it possible to reach the stadium with public transportation? Also, is there a particular area that I should focus my hotel search on? Any and all suggestions/advice are welcome! Thank you in advance!

Hopefully this is not too controversial of a topic but …

As someone who hasn’t been out to Deep Ellum but has heard plenty of stories … in what ways can we enhance the great parts about that area and what would need to be done to make it safer, more inviting, and booming anytime time of the day and night?

We’re putting together a meal train for a close family friend who just welcomed a new baby. What kind of meal would you bring, and from where? They’re pretty easygoing with food. It’s for two parents, a 5-year-old, and a newborn at home.

Took my dog out for her evening walk and got this nice picture of the moon with Venus Jupiter. Think I also picked up Pollux. Tonight the moon will sit almost exactly between Venus and Jupiter. Hope its clear out.

Cybersigilism Tattoo Artist Recommendations

Hey so I just moved to Dallas and thinking about getting my first tattoo this summer. I’m leaning towards getting the Cybersigilism style but need help in finding some artist. If possible does anyone have any good recs to offer I don’t really care about price since I know it’s going to be somewhat expensive just need some good recs to go towards the right direction so the tat doesn’t come out ass.

Giving up our office to save a 48-year Dallas school, where should I reach out for help?

Hey Dallas,

Looking for some advice. My partner and I are clearing out our office headquarters and moving the Carlisle School (a 48-year-old school for kids with ADHD/ADD) into our building so they don't have to close for good.

We’re handling the labor, but the city permits and fire-code build-outs are way more expensive than we expected. We’ve got a fundraiser going for the "hard costs," but I’m struggling to get the word out to the right people.

I’m not asking for money here, just looking for guidance:

Are there any local Dallas alumni groups or "legacy" boards I should post in?

Do you know any DFW home builders or contractors who get involved in community projects like this?

Any local podcasts or neighborhood newsletters that highlight people saving local institutions?

We’re determined to get these kids back in a classroom. If you have any leads on who we should talk to, please let me know.

Thanks!

Advice

I parked outside of the Bleu Ciel on Friday night around 7 PM and I forgot to lock my car. When I got back my glasses, a jacket, and small case for nail clippers were gone. I left my entire purse with all my cards from my wallet and nothing else was gone. I think someone stole them from car and debating if I should make a police report only because I have no current vision insurance. Please give me advice.

Best coffee shops in Dallas for studying or working?

I’m looking for the best coffee shops in Dallas where I can sit for a few hours to study or get some work done.

Ideally looking for a place with decent Wi-Fi, enough seating, and a chill atmosphere that doesn’t feel too crowded or loud. Good coffee is a plus, but I’m more focused on finding somewhere comfortable where I won’t feel rushed. Any local recommendations? Thank you!
