I’m 36 and planning on moving to the Dallas metroplex. I’ve always liked the idea of living in a high rise apartment, so I’ve been looking into some of the high rises and industrial-style lofts around Dallas.

However, the more I look into certain areas, the more I wonder about safety and whether it’s actually worth living downtown.

I’ve also been looking into Legacy West in Plano, which seems like a pretty nice area as well. I’d really appreciate some opinions from people who actually live in Dallas or have experience living in either area. How do they compare in terms of safety, lifestyle, and overall quality of life?

Title says it all, really. I’m into gaming, movies, and reading (sometimes). I’ve had a hard time making friends my whole life due to being strange and autistic, so I’m all alone besides my sister lol. I have discord but am open to download other apps if needed.

Greetings, DFW. I am an ex-Dallasite from about 40 years ago. I remember the fall and spring being nicest. I will be visiting Dallas for the first time in years. What is your favorite month of the year if you had to choose?

Like the title said, new to Dallas from chicago. 34F that was just looking for warmer weather and to get out of my toxic job.

Would love some recommendations on coed adult soccer leagues that are close to the city. Back in Chicago we had the fire pitch which had about 4 games going on at once attached to a bar/restaurant. Is there anything similar to that down here? If there is, are individual signups something considered?

I also am a runner and would consider doing a run club to meet people.

What else would you recommend for my first few months in Dallas to either meet friends, good eats, things to do, places to see etc.

Open to any and all recommendations as I get my footing.
