Blancpain Leman Flyback Service Experience

Came across this beautiful Blancpan Leman Flyback and wanted to ask if any owners here have had experience with servicing this chronograph? To my understanding it’s a Frederic Piguet developed movement and figure it has to go back to Blancpain itself? Wondering if anyone’s come across US based options.

Thanks so much!

Swapped my 5015 from sailcloth to Alligator 🐊

Won’t be back in the water til November so I went ahead and swapped from the sailcloth to my black Alligator strap and it’s reignited my honeymoon phase with my Fifty Fathoms.

Can a 6.25’ wrist rock the 42.3mm FF?

Wonder if anyone has picture of how this fits on a smaller wrist

I thought about the 38mm but a 3hz movement at this price point is abit too much

For the same price the 1315 is a much better movement

New boots, new strap. Good morning.

Picked up some new boots yesterday so I decided to swap the strap around on my Titanium 5015 Fifty. Hope you all are having a great Saturday morning.

What are you all wearing?

Leman 2863

Having a hard time finding the Leman 2863, I am considering a 2763 but wanted a slightly larger case. Do people hold on to them because they’re discontinued or am I just not looking hard enough?

My camera roll was my watch collection "system". So I built the app I actually wanted

So over a lot of nights and weekends I built Horology Vault. No investors, no growth team — just a collector who wanted a real home for his watches.

The part I'm most proud of: paste a link to any watch — a YouTube review, a Chrono24 listing, a retailer page, a Hodinkee review— and it identifies the watch and fills in the spec sheet, the photo, and the asking price (on listings). That review queue you never finish? Paste the link, it's in your vault. You can also just point your camera at a dial and it'll ID it.

The rest of it:

  • Full provenance — box & papers, straps, service receipts, and a Provenance Package PDF you can hand a buyer
  • The Departed Archive — every watch you've sold, with a Regret Level slider (1–10, no judgment)
  • A pursuit list for the ones you're still hunting, with research (videos, articles, listings) saved per watch
  • Wrist log, so you can prove you don't just buy and forget

Being straight with you: the link thing is best-effort — most sites work, some block scrapers and it falls back to manual entry. And it's free up to 3 watches, then a subscription. I'd rather charge collectors than run ads or sell data.

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/the-horology-vault/id6778231860

I built this because I wanted it to exist. Happy to answer anything — technical, why the Regret Level exists (therapy, mostly), whatever.

Size Advise FF Bathyscaphe

Dear Experts,

I would like to have your opinion on the FF Bathyscaphe 43 vs 38 on my wrist.

The issue: I can only show you how the 43 looks on my wrist (sorry didnt get the chance to measure it), since I won‘t have the opportunity to directly check out a 38mm right now.

So the only thing I would need from you is your opinion, if it looks too big. To me personally, I don‘t feel it a 100% right now and it makes me feel a little „too aware“ of it all the time. Perhaps because I am a lefty and it feels clunky when I write etc…

Might the 38 be an option?

Thanks for your input and sorry for the ugly pics, was in a hurry.. :)

Does anyone here own a Bathyscaphe Quantième Complet Phases de Lune?

I'm curious to see some real pictures and get your experience with the watch. I'm most interested in the green one on cloth strap. Thanks

Help - service cost for bathyscaphe failing pressure test (air)

Bought a bathyscaphe at good price at auction but was just informed it failed the air pressure test. The watch wasn’t opened and doesn’t seem to have damage, and it is under the 2 year warranty for 3 more months. No service history.
I can decline the watch, accept it or ask the seller to discount to cover the repair on my side.
Worried about the repair costs and the range possible, any advice on what number i should give? What is likely range?
