I have more expensive watches, more complicated watches, and rarer watches, but there’s something about my Mark XVIII that keeps me coming back.
Sometimes less is more. 🤷🏽♂️
I’ve got more expensive watches, more complicated watches, and rarer watches, but I always seem to find time (excuse the pun) for my humble Mark XVIII.

Personally speaking, I find the mid to late 90s to be one of the most interesting periods for G-Shock design. Some of their most wild collections are from this era, which I almost see as deliberate effort to move away from the classic Square in an attempt to redefine G-Shock as a lifestyle brand and not just a division under the Casio umbrella.
Pictured are my Agnes B., Bob Marley, Riseman, and G-Cool, all of which date to the 90s.
While it certainly isn’t BUD/S training, I figure it’s good to give the ol’ NSA Incursion a workout every now and then. 😉
The TDF (“Terrestrial Defense Force”) travels on its stomach, after all. 😉
This meeting is boring: the watch isn’t.
Once again the Autmog got the call for today’s meetings.
Seemed like a good day to take the dog for a walk. 🤷🏽♂️😉
The barometer on my 30th Anniversary Lightning Yellow Rangeman GW-9430EJ-9JR indicates sunny days ahead. 👍🏽
The bioceramic looks a lot like forged carbon… 🧐
The colorway of the Rangeman Love the Sea and the Earth GW-9401KJ-3JR is definitely in my top five all time greats, and it most definitely complements the weather here in NYC. (Alas, rain is coming…)
Growing up in the 70s I caught the tail end of the LED era, hence they still occupy a soft spot in my heart. And while I collect vintage pieces, they can be finicky, to say the least, which is why I’m so happy that Hamilton decided to mine this bit of history.
I also have the Neprosolar, Girard-Perregaux Casquette 2.0, and Bulova Computron (not pictured) reissues, so yeah, you could say that I’m a fan. 😉
