Boost mobile is such a trash company. First off they take away the ability for iPhones to connect to a satellite in emergency situations. That seems to be probably illegal. I just noticed this while traveling and breaking down in the desert. With no cell service trying to message my family and send out my location only to find the connect to satellite feature to only be a demo on my iPhone 15pm. Then once I did make it back to civilization in a tiny desert town still no cell service first two day I could text my business partner using text messages they have an android phone but since the advent of the RCS messaging system was able to send and receive text over a WiFi network for two days day 3 or 4. All the people in my contacts that are on an android devices the messages turn from RCS messages to now sms messages and not being delivered. What’s up with this boost mobile? I am definitely done with this company after one nightmare after another with them. Risking customers life’s possibly just to squeeze out every last penny from them. I will be reporting this to the fcc and the bbb and bringing it the any news outlets that care to dig into it. Has anyone else experienced this from boost mobile?
I am hoping someone else will be able to help me. For the last several months, I have not been able to receive calls from my vet's office. This started out of the blue as I had no issues before. When they call, it goes straight to a generic voicemail box (not even mine.)
They tried clearing my number and calling me multiple times while I was in the office with no luck. The number is not blocked, and I am able to call them just fine. This started happening with my previous phone, a Galaxy A54, but it continues with my new Moto Stylus 5G. Google has been no help with the only suggestions being that maybe the number is blocked. To my knowledge, this isn't happening with any other numbers. Anyone else have experience with this?
Am I allowed to request a payment extension twice? I’ve had service for almost a year. This month was rough so I had to do the 5 day $10 payment extension. It’s been 5 days now and my service is suspended. On the app it gives me the option to request payment extension again but then right before I pay it says “your new due date I’ll be…” and it’s the same due date as before. I’m literally only like $30 short…. Anyone know if I can request the payment extension twice?
Need good free/discounted phone due to lost device but I need phone to unlocked without continuous service thru with prepaid carrier (asap)
can i do this phone deal thru since i can have postpaid sim/service thru at&t & verizon (family & SO)?
Bought a phone plan with boost mobile, turns out they only support eSIM on iPhone (seems pretty lazy but wtv ig I'll just take my money elsewhere...or so I thought) I'm then informed that if I wait 3-5 business days I can receive a free Sim card in the mail, nope I'd rather activate my phone now, so I ask if its also free if I walk into the store (nope), okay then I'll just get my money back "it will take 7-14 business days for a refund to be issued" are you printing fresh bills and sending them to me via carrier pigeon? whatever I guess send me the stupid Sim card 0/10 hate it already and I haven't even gotten the Sim card yet. 👎🏼
I know, why discuss SpaceX on the Boost sub? Maybe it's because I think we may need to consider the unique relationship Boost (Echostar) has with SpaceX, so we should likely keep tabs.
Especially if the SpaceX president is out on the IPO roadshow talking about creating a retail wireless product, building out their own terrestrial cell network, and having a means to do so quickly?
Right now, I've got some speculations about that, but will play the "wait and see" game - especially knowing how Ergen turns everything into a game of poker.
I will say this. Considering what Echostar built up and "had to" abandon essentially (and nothing's been torn down yet) - SpaceX and echostars relationship could lead to something that is textbook vertical integration.
After doing some math, the fastest and cheapest option for SpaceX, even taking legal hurdles into account, could be a taking over leases and permits for a recently abandoned network of already built, but offline, towers.
All they'd need is a software update essentially to be turned back on, but under new management (SpaceX).
I purchased the SIM kit from Amazon. I have tried both the QR code and boostmobile.com/activate, and neither one recognizes the email account associated with my Amazon account. How do I activate this SIM? - Thanks
Hi Boost. I've already called customer care and they told me it would be taken care of, but then I received an email telling me my refund request was denied. Some wires are getting crossed somewhere; how can I get this resolved? I have a credit card statement that shows I was already charged for the phone on June 23, but my billing statement says I'll be charged for it again on July 12th. Thank you for any advice you may have.
Every single person at boost gives me different information. I'd avoid talking to anyone who works at boost including. Regular customer service people, people in the store or the two supervisors I spoke to who contradicted each other. Every single person I spoke to yesterday (5 in all) said everyone else I talked to was either giving me bad info or straight up lying to me. I constantly get offers text to me and one was a 49.99 pixel 10a as an upgrade offer. So I went to see about it online but couldn't find it, so I called and was told that those are only in store so I'd have to go to the store as they are independently operated. So I go to the store and ask the guy if they have this deal on my phone and he assures me they do and at checkout they give me the total of 177 dollars which is almost 4 times the deal amount. So I ask what the charged are and he says 49 for phone, 35 for activation, 10 for the Sim card and 66 for tax. I say I'm good and turn around to walk out but stop and say "wait that doesnt add up" so he says he'll pull it up and he says oh you're not getting the 49.99 offer your online account says you only have the 99 offer. I say that's the online offer and he tells me that's the only offer they give out. Then I point out that it doesn't add up either because that would be over 200 if the phone was 99 and he says that's how the computer adds it up and I leave. So when I get home I log onto my computer and bring up the 99 dollar phone and go to check out and it totals me at 121 and change to pay today which is fine so I try to cash out but it says payment processing and just stops and won't let me do anything. So I call and talk to someone who says it will add 30 dollars a month to my bill. I said the two other people told me 10 (I pay 80 a month for two $50 unlimited lines but get a discount for autopay and was told by two separate people that I'd have to sign up for the new unlimited plan which would bring my new bill for one upgraded line to $90 a month) Now Im told it will bring my bill up to $110 a month which isn't really worth it because I'd pay more than the phone is worth msrp in the first year. I ask to speak to s supervisor who also starts suggesting I finance the phone so I can keep my $80 bill and she asks for my ssn. I ask if she is about to do a hard credit check bc I don't want my score dinged as I am moving in a month. She cannot answer me. Then the call is mysteriously dropped. At this point I've wasted 4 hours of my day off with boost and only have the beginnings of a migraine to show for it. I log into the app today which gives me the same price as the web page but when I go to checkout the same thing happens. The people on the phone cannot help me, and only say conflicting things same as the people in the store and you cannot avoid either because neither the web page nor the app work properly. So now I'm shopping for a new cell service provider that isn't a maze of headaches and conflicting info and won't make me upgrade my unlimited plan to a new unlimited plan that doesn't offer anything more but will cost me a little to a lot more just to upgrade my phone as a thanks for being a loyal customer who has paid on time all the time for the past 6 years.
I just received an email from Boost (seems like their official email, and links their actual phone line) claiming one of my Line(s) were removed? In app, all works fine, and my phone still has service? Services were paid on the 16th too.
Hey everyone, reaching out to see if anyone has successfully bypassed this specific nightmare with Boost support.
I paid off my Moto G Stylus 5G in full last Thursday (June 18th). According to FCC/CTIA guidelines, a postpaid phone is supposed to be unlocked within 48 hours. Well, the window has passed and my phone is still locked.
I finally managed to get a chat supervisor to dig into the system, and they found a massive corporate glitch: a standard monthly bill generated right before I did the lump-sum payoff, which sucked $7.50 of my payoff into the "service bill" pool. The system flags the phone as having $7.50 left on the loan, so it won't auto-unlock. It also won't let me pay the $7.50!!!
Here's the kicker: The supervisor acknowledged it was a system error on their end and credited my account the $7.50 to clear it. My balance is officially $0.00. But because of the system lag/glitch, front-line agents say they don't have a button to manually force an over-the-air (OTA) unlock push for Motorolas and my phone unlock is stuck in limbo while Boost prepares to bill me for another month of service. I'm stuck in Boost purgatory!
Any advice or tricks to get them to push the button would be heavily appreciated! 4 different customer service agents all gave conflicting information in addition to 2 supervisors.
Edit June 22nd:
Just filed an FCC complaint
Emailed the Office of the President
Hope either one or both of these help!
UPDATE (June 23rd): RESOLVED!
Just wanted to update everyone that this has been completely resolved. After emailing the executive Office of the President team and filing an FCC complaint yesterday, I received a phone call this morning from Boost Mobile Corporate.
She completely bypassed the front-line system glitch, manually fixed the account alignment, and pushed the device unlock through immediately. She also provided my account number and transfer PIN right over the phone so I can port out.
Huge shoutout to the corporate team for jumping on this so quickly and making it right.
Theyre offering the $25 unlimited plan with unlimited talk, text, and data. (30 GB premium data then lowered to 512kbps) all for just $10 a month for the first 3 months.
$25 is already a pretty solid price as it is, but $10 is pretty amazing. I know that it doesn't include hotspot or roaming, but that isnt a issue for me. I mainly care for data and talk.
Hello I have a question regarding the iPhone 16e. The plan is a $219 phone package with 2 months of Unlimited phone usage. I was concerned that after this two month period, I would be locked into a deal with Boost Mobile, which charges $60 per month, I figure to recoup any losses on the phone which has a retail price of $600. Does anyone know anything about this?
Hi guys how does boost global roaming add on works? I want to add it since I will be going away out of the country soon and I want to know if it's worth it plus I wanna keep my phone and be able to message family while I am there staying at the hotel and sometimes I venture out on my own lol 🤣
I live in the Netherlands and visited the US in April. I needed an esim so my husband set me up an account with Boost. Now that I'm back home in NL, I cannot receive texts to that US phone number. So I called Boost customer service. Took 15 minutes to get an agent to help me. He said he needed to transfer me to another department. After being on hold again for several minutes, a recording came on and said that customer service cannot help me, and I need to visit a Boost store. Then it disconnected me.
Looked at this subreddit for help, and saw that there is apparently a Verification Team that can use other methods to verify my account. So I call back. I sit on hold for 10 min, then ask the agent to transfer me to the Verification Team. He puts me on hold and someone else answers. I explained the issue to him and he said he needed to transfer me. After a few minutes, the same recording comes on saying they can't help me, that I'll need to visit a store.
Unfortunately for some reason my husband set up auto-pay, so I keep getting billed for a service I can't use. And now it seems I can't cancel it either! Hoping a Boost agent will actually help me here. I had planned to use the esim again next time I'm in the US, but not if I'm going to be treated this way!
If you're trying to pay someone else's Boost Mobile bill, please note that Boost does not offer an online or in-app guest payment option. Because all online payments require a login, the easiest free way to pay as a guest is by calling Boost Customer Care at (833) 502-6678 and using our automated system.
>Important: Stick with the automated payment option if you want to avoid the agent-assisted payment fee. If a Customer Care agent processes the payment for you, a $4 convenience fee applies.
You’ll need:
Privacy note: We can’t disclose someone else’s account balance, so the account holder will need to check the amount due before you call.
You may also be able to help someone add funds through Walmart Direct Top Up, a Boost Mobile prepaid / Re-Boost card, digital e-PIN, or a Boost retail store.
For Walmart Direct Top Up, funds may be applied directly to an existing Boost account after the mobile number is entered and verified. Some Walmart locations may also offer wireless top-up or refill help in person, but availability can vary by store.
For Re-Boost cards or digital e-PINs, you can give the PIN to the account holder so they can redeem it themselves through their Boost account, the Boost Mobile app, or the instructions that come with the card/PIN.
You can also pay at a Boost retail store, but a retail payment fee will apply.
Before using any refill or top-up option, double-check the phone number, amount, and PIN details. These payments are generally final once applied.
Can I pay someone else’s Boost bill?
Yes. The easiest option is the automated guest payment system.
Can I pay a bill as a guest on the Boost Mobile website or app? No. There is absolutely no guest checkout link on the Boost Mobile website or mobile app. Any website claiming to offer a "Boost Online Guest Pay" link is either outdated or a third-party scam/phishing attempt.
Do I need their Boost account login to pay online? Yes. If you want to pay via the website or app, you must have the account holder's password and login credentials. If you do not have their login info, you must use the automated phone system instead.
Can Boost tell me how much they owe?
No. For privacy, we can’t disclose another customer’s balance.
Can I use Walmart Direct Top Up?
Walmart lists Boost Mobile Direct Top Up options online. Make sure the phone number and amount are correct before submitting.
Can I top up at Walmart in person?
Some Walmart locations may offer wireless top-up or refill help, but availability can vary. Check with the store first.
Can I buy a Re-Boost card or e-PIN and give it to them?
Yes. You can give the account holder the Re-Boost card or digital e-PIN so they can redeem it themselves. They should follow the instructions that come with the card/PIN and keep the PIN private.
Can I pay in a Boost store?
Yes, but a retail payment fee will apply.
If you’re just trying to help someone keep service active, the automated guest payment option is usually the simplest place to start.
