Hotspot Issue

Has anyone had issues with purchasing those extra 2gb $ data pack add ons? It says that they should be able to be used as a hotspot.

I have an iPhone but in my settings the hotspot section is grayed out.

Certain phone numbers not connecting to my dad's phone with boost

Hey all, my dad switched to boost a while ago. Since he's switched some numbers(mainly my mom's) haven't been able to connect to his phone and it acts like she's blocked but she isn't, I've made sure of it. How can I fix this problem?

The Worst Customer Service EVER

Trying to help my 92 yo mom move her phone number to a new iPhone. No way to do on website. Called - had to be switched to 3 different reps. None had any idea. Finally got one that wanted her SSN, address, and HEIGHT to verify account ownership, which she has had for over a year. I ended up switching to another carrier. Then they called her back offering 1/2 off a subscription. No thank you.

"Nothing is wrong with your account ma'am" just an update after boost reached out.

This is just an update. I dont need advice, not looking for information on other phone services, and i know all about my device. So after i called yesterday, I wasn't able to send or recieve calls. So I called again. Now my phone isn't connecting at all. They told me to wait for a call. Someone called me today and for an hr they kept telling me nothing wrong with my account. Wanted to send me a new Sim card. They told me that its my phone and to reach out to Samsung. They told me that by using my tablet, it was the reason my phone data was draining. When I explained my tablet was a separate device and had its own data plan, they then said that I had used up my premium data on my phone and to wait until June the 10th for a reset. Crediting me $30 for charging me almost $100 a month for service i wasn't getting isn't enuff. When I told them that I may have to get legal action for paying for a service that is not being provided to me, and that as a customer of over 15yrs, I should be treated as a valued customer, they did a quick apology and hung up. This is rediculous. My phone-nothing running in background, nothing auto updating, Hotspot not working, and issues with sending and receiving texts, and the premium data is gone for unknown reason, phone service is so slow that I can't even open a web page or app . Tablet-running 24/7, streaming, updating, uploading, gaming, running fast, data usage is slowly being used, no issues.

Continued data usage issue.

Not asking for advice as this is an issue on Boosts end. Issue after issue. Boost customer service arguing with me telling me that I used up all my premium data the day after I pay my bill. It's at a point where I'm barely getting incoming texts and cant send out texts. My tablet is fine. but my phone, which I barely use anymore is eating up data without it having anything running in the background. I had my bill lowered due to hidden add-ons which they did removed as well as device insurance that I didnt ask for. 40+mins a day with customer support and its rediculous. I shouldn't have to be dealing with this everyday. I'm not having the issue with my tablet that I am using constantly. This is rediculous.

Traveling to Japan, do I turn off my simcard?

I will be travelling to Japan. I have a local eSim for there. Can I keep my Boost Mobile simcard active and use text when on wifi, or will all of this come at an extra charge?

Boost Over Charge

My bill is always 75.51, today my payment went through for 90.51. My card shows a payment of 90.52, but the online payment history shows 75.51, and the receipt shows 75.51. Boost is saying they can't do anything because they have no record of it, but I can very clearly see the charge processed for 90.51. Anyone else have this issue?

Third-party screen replacement | Infinite Access

Hi, will my phone still eligible for a Trade-In and be considered "Good conditon" if I got the screen replaced at a third party repair shop? I didn't get coverage so an official repair would cost me $379 from Apple

No premium Data and add-ons i did not want

Hardworking female here who requires internet access for business. I was paying $25 for one device and I am grandfathered into my account. I added a tablet to my plan. When my bill spiked to almost $100, I pretty much have no premium data. It says I used it all up. I found out that my bill was so high due to device insurance I declined to get, and for a $10 add on i never added. I had them remove it. But I am having to call every time I pay my bill. The day after I pay my bill, my premium data is gone. They refuse to fix it. I spend 30mins or more, transferred to someone else, and told I used up all my premium data. Since adding the second device (which has its own plan), I have had issue after issue, when I was paying $25 for just one phone, I never had the issue and I was always streaming, uploading, and downloading. My phone was never slow. And they won't fix it. I'm using galaxy A36 and galaxy tab a11. Not looking for advice or a new carrier.

Returning Boost Mobile customer question.

I live in a small town in northern Tennessee. I had Boost Mobile from 2016-2019 and I know at the time, it ran off of Sprint towers which there was one less than 800 feet from my house so I was getting full bars of 4G LTE 100% of the time. But then T-Mobile acquired Sprint in 2020 and only 3 months later, Boost Mobile was acquired by Dish Network... Last I checked, Dish Network doesn't have cell phone towers. So what providers towers does Boost Mobile run off of nowadays? I'm barely getting 2 bars anywhere in my house. It's 5G. But still. It's enough to text and make calls without anyone cutting out but when it comes to streaming on YouTube, I can't do anything above 720p without buffering every 15-20 seconds.

Boost no connection?

Anyone else having issues? Randomly I lost connection and nothing I do fixes it. I'm on hold with them but this is so frustrating. I've never experienced this until Boost. I've been with them for 1 week too.

Free Service for 12 Months

So I recently received an email from my bank, Chime telling me that I can get free service for 12 months. Basically, because I have direct deposit and I will be using my Chime card to pay my bill $25/month, Chime will credit me back the $25 each month.
I took the deal and added a second line to my phone. My main service is T-mobile, but at work we have FirstNet by AT&T signal boosters in our building and our speeds are blazing fast🔥
I get a better data speeds on Boost Mobile and I love free things!!!!

Mini Me add-on charges added to my account without permission

Posting this again because it was removed for some reason...?

Just got a text that Mini Me Games and Mini Me Video were added to my service. I logged into my account, and sure enough, two add-ons were added to my bill for an extra $10 a month. I have no use for these add-ons, and nobody has access to my account to add them without my knowledge or permission.

I chatted with an agent on the website, and they told me, "Mini Me Games and Mini Me Video are airG third-party services that use the phone number as the login credential. These services are free at sign-up, but charges begin on the next billing cycle after enrollment. If you didn't knowingly sign up, you may have accidentally enrolled through a promotional link or ad. you may have clicked on a promotional link, ad, or pop-up that enrolled them without realizing it."

It's ridiculous that two separate add-ons can be added to my bill with an accidental click (if that's what really happened).

Check your accounts, people!

Edit:

Update – the add-ons were still listed as "active recurring add-ons" after I removed them, so I chatted with a different agent. This one said, "This is a VAS charge. It means Boost provided it for free for a trial and if you wish to continue it, you can keep it up or remove it on the due bill. But since it has been removed, it will not be added on your next billing cycle."

Total BS. Don't add something to my bill without my knowledge and make me manually remove it. I've been very happy with my Boost Mobile account for 10+ years, but if this happens again, I'm cancelling my account. Don't mess with my money.

I used up all of my high speed data on my monthly plan. I used up my data packs and boost won't sell me anymore packs and won't let me restart my monthly plan. So what am I supposed to do? This capped speed is useless and I still have two weeks left until plan restarts.

There has to be a better way than this. There just has to be. I still have two weeks left until my plan restarts and I can't do anything with this slow speed. They don't even want to take my money

eSIM works on locked phones

So I purchased a phone from AT&T and it says it is SIM locked. When I put my Boost Mobile phone next to it it let me bring my number over to the AT&T locked phone. I had already checked compatibility on the boost website and it said the phone was locked and not compatible with boost, but I had no issues bringing it right over and downloading an eSIM. Phone still says sim locked in settings. Just using my boost plan under 2nd imei. I’m confused.
Am I gonna wake up and my phone doesn’t work anymore

High phone bill

More to my last post. My phone bill spiked to almost $100. I got a payment extention. My phone service got suspended a day before bill was due. I didnt know until I tried to send a text to someone. I was apparently throttling on leftover data after my phone service cut off. Im not complaining about the leftover data usage as I did pay for it. I called boost becuz it wasn't letting me pay online and I kept getting redirected thru automated system trying to pay it on the phone. The customer service lady was helpful. She told me that it was becuz I was paying insurance on my devices and I had an $10 a month charge for the 10gb extra add on. I said I never wanted insurance, even turned it down my last upgrade. I did get credit to my account and my next bill will be back to the $67 it was. They removed the insurance and the 10 gb add on. So with my plan each device has unlimited data and hotspot, international calling, 80gbs high speed data, as well as perks for some of my streaming apps. If u get the right customer service rep, things can be fixed.

Scam Call 888-651-6700

Just got a call from the number 18886516700. It was an automated voice telling me they were from the security team, and that a line was being open, and to press 1 if it was unauthorized. Then it sent me a text message from the official boost mobile number where I always receive text messages with 6 digit codes. I went to the boost mobile website and got the contact number for customer service and verified my account was secure. Beware!

*edit- The text message wasn't them texting me but more likely they were trying to log into my account and needing the code Boost would send.
