Got 160 cutoff I'm thinking of going through management but cse donation is very high so is IT worth it?
so thing is I am waiting for snu admission and IISER and one or two clgs..... yesterday my dad visited cit and donation matum vanthu 8 lakhs ipo problem ena na will donations will get filled faster for cse can I wait till June coz enaku snu ila IISER or vit mtech kadacha I will take that but shud i wait till June or shud i pay now ??? I am so so confused pls help me out and also ethachu senior last year had this same situation pls help
Nanbargale, my smol bro got 97.2 percentile in mains. since its borderline, he might get tier 3 nit in some low level branch. but the opportunities and placements are not good there. dont want to just chase the nit/iit tag if it doesnt have any roi. heard cit is good in placements and also heard its strict and like a school in some way. but the reason we are considering is beacuase the placements are good also because of the fees, no donation and 1 lakh waiver in fees. we dont mind it being strict if its actually brings in opportuinites.
also would like to get clarification about the placement situation
please suggest any better aleternative if any

Like if your comparison is REC, Sairam, Panimalar etc then yeah okay da, CIT is solid among those. No issues. But if you’re getting PSG, CEG, SSN, VIT level colleges… why is CIT even in the discussion bro 😭
People will defend CIT with their life but reality is reality. Too many staffs are just there because of chairman connections/native side and some literally have zero clue what they’re teaching. And trust me, professor quality matters WAY more than you think rn. You’ll only realize after graduating when half your basics are cooked 💀
So please da if you actually have the chance for top colleges, just go there. Don’t get trapped by random “bro placements bro culture bro freedom bro” glazing.
