Neenga College 🏫🎓 ah?
What are the Colleges in Tamil Nadu having the best Cultural Events? (Let's leave IIT Madras and NIT Trichy). Namba TNEA colleges
The new 'Market Buzz'
Is CIT Chennai really the next SSN? (As SSN is closed). Please clarify seniors. Will help students during the counselling process.
Help me choose a college guys.
I'm someone who genuinely prefer good college over course as I don't have any specific course preference. I like almost all good engineering courses. But still a little inclined towards CS/AI related courses.
PSG Coimbatore - Instrumentation and Control Engineering
PSG Coimbatore and CIT Coimbatore - Mechanical Engineering
Thiagarajar College - CSBS or EEE or Mechanical
CIT Chennai - CSE (AI&ML), AI/DS, ECE
PSG Tech - Instrumentation and Control Engineering
How is this course ? The general word of mouth is good. What are your opinions seniors/students ?
Sondha Kadha, Soga Kadha - TNEA cutoff portal parthibangal
I was elated yesterday that cutoffs came down this year. We then came across this cutoff portal of TNEA - And, we were checking what all colleges we would possibly get...
I was happiest in like a year's time - I was getting Mech from CEG, or at best E&I from MIT... I just can't imagine how happy I was... My parents were extremely happy. We all were upset that our cutoff wasn't so great enough to get the top colleges previously. This was the moment - all our misery came to a beautiful ending...
My mom was almost crying. My dad - he was on cloud nine. He was proud, happy and satisfied. He was almost planning a Tirupati Trip after we get a seat in the counselling process. He told he would walk all the way to Mel Tirupati to offer gratitude to God's grace.
But,
In the midnight - I realized one thing - I was looking at the BC section and assumed they were BC ranks. I read in the internet slowly that they were the general ranks of the BC students. And that shattered everything. Everything. I won't get Mech from CEG.
My parents were sleeping peacefully and I was staring at the empty screen. It's 6AM now. When they wake up - I'll have to tell them - that we were looking at everything wrong.
It's quite heart wrenching... Interesting how at once it seemed like I was getting everything I dreamt of and how it was snatched quickly. Had this misunderstanding never happened, I wouldn't have been this much disappointed as I'm now.
Life is weird, isn't it?
The Convention - B. Tech and Placements
Hasn't it become a recurring pattern - Any PCM students after their schooling opt for a B Tech degree. Why? Because it's the only degree which has a higher percentage of assured placements just after completing the degree.
I'm not a huge fan of this. We all are made for something, we all are special. Just because engineering opens door to early earnings, taking risks has become a rarity in India. 'Placements' is something that possibly decides anyone's ultimate future in college...
Almost anything other than an engineering path has become niche in India. Your opinions ?
Internships in CIT Chennai
Attending Bridge course classes as a fresher... They say Placements can even last for about 6 - 12 months (max) in 3rd/4th year... How true is that? Are foreign internships true? How long are they? What about exams and classes handled, if students go for long-term internships ?
CIT Chennai Bridge Course (To Freshers yet to join)
Bridge course classes going on for the past two weeks.
Can anyone tell me the what all topics they had thought in:
Python
Web development
AI
If you help with the topics alone, I'd be able to catch up next week.
Please help. Thank you....
CIT Chennai - The Bridge Course
Seniors, How were the bridge course classes for you? Is there a syllabus in whatever they teach here? How was the transition to college after these classes? Are these classes also conducted to the merit students after counselling ? Cuz as of now it is going on for management / merit-management students...
CIT Chennai Class & Sections
Do they segregate students into different sections based on merit seat / management quota ?
CIT Chennai's Classes before College
Does anyone have an idea of what classes they may conduct before college (that they were telling about) ? Regarding Duration and other details...? Would like to hear from seniors as well...
CIT Chennai - Exploring beyond the Placement Hype
How is CIT Chennai (Leave placements) ? Especially BE Computer Science courses? How is a day in your life like? What kind of timetable are you all scheduled with? And what about free time (Weekends?) ? How rigorous is the curriculum? I would also like further information on Exam frequency, Sports & Culturals and how the work changes as we progress each year? ( Is it hectic or less intense in the last year? ) Do we have time to do other things as well? Well, that's a lot of questions!😅I would like a honest neutral opinion...!
Thank you !
Career vs college life — confused
I’m considering B.Sc CS at BHU through CUET. My long-term goal is UPSC/IFS, not necessarily software engineering, but I still prefer logical/analytical subjects over studying political science for 4 years.
One major reason I’m drawn to BHU is the campus life — independence, exposure, meeting people from different backgrounds, personal growth, and the overall UPSC-oriented atmosphere. I feel like moving away from home and living in such an environment could shape me a lot as a person.
At the same time, I’m wondering if I’m idealizing the whole “college life” aspect too much.
I’d really appreciate honest insights from BHU students, especially those in B.Sc CS or any courses:
- How is the peer group and academic environment?
- Are students generally ambitious/motivated?
- How is the actual college life and hostel experience?
- Do you feel the university genuinely helps you grow as a person?
- Any regrets about choosing BHU or this course?
- How are the faculty, teaching style, and syllabus? Is the course more theory-based or does it involve genuine logical/coding-based learning and practical exposure?
Would love completely honest opinions.
