The Seal, Harwich

I was jumped by a group of three men who shouted homophobic slurs at me near their pickup truck outside of The Seal pub in Harwich. Message me if you witnessed the incident or if you have any information.

Planning on going out for about 3 days in September. What are some things to do for people who want a relaxing but fun time in and around that area?

Any help is appreciated :)

How to travel to Sandwich from Boston

Hi, me and my plan to visit Sandwich near Cape Cod in the coming week. We need to travel by public transport from Boston. I know Peter Pan and P&B ply buses from Logan to Hyannis. So plan to take P&B by booking in advance. But from Hyannis hub to Sandwich what are the options? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Where’s the best boogie boarding on the national seashore this year?

I’ve stayed and gone to a bunch before, but noticed years past Nauset had a pretty steep shoreline so wasn’t great for boogie boarding, and it could get kind of rocky. Marconi always seemed like my favorite for many reasons

Labor Day weekend

Thinking about making the trip from Ashland, MA to the cape. I would have Friday off (and of course Monday too). It's the last chance I will get to have a long weekend off like that. How busy are the beaches? I am assuming that there isn't really anywhere along the cape that is close to do day trip(s). I don't think I want to pay for a place on the cape if its just going to be a shit show everywhere that weekend. Are there parts that would be worth staying at or visiting that don't get as much traffic? what is parking like in terms of cost? Was also kicking around the idea of Scussett beach, but probably going to be just as busy if not busier.

Elopement Ideas

Hi everyone!

My fiancé and I are considering eloping on Cape Cod and would love some local recommendations. For reference, we had to postpone our initial wedding this past spring due to health issues that we had to get through. While we still hope to have the big celebration, we are wanting to do something small and intimate between the both of us while on the cape in September. We're from our of state.

We're looking for something intimate and beautiful, ideally with:

  • Coastal views (beach, dunes, cliffs, lighthouse, etc.)
  • A quiet and somewhat private setting
  • Great spots for photos
  • A nice dinner afterward (or even a small private dining experience)
  • Potentially a nearby boutique hotel or inn for a couple of nights

If you've eloped on the Cape, attended a small ceremony, or know of locations that would be especially beautiful for a two-person wedding, I'd love to hear your recommendations. Bonus points for hidden gems, local vendors (photographers, florists, officiants), or unique experiences that would make the day feel special. It would just be the two of us.

Thank you! 😊

Falmouth Road Race Weekend

I may be in Falmouth this weekend through early next week. Just wondering what it's like during road race weekend? I assume getting into restaurants is a lot tougher than normal? Is traffic crazy? Do things lighten up once the weekend is over? Appreciate any feedback from locals or people who have experienced Falmouth on race weekend.

Handsy Employee at the United Thrift Shop

Stopped in today to get something cute to wear tonight. An employee showed me where to find what I was looking for and proceeded to put his hands all over me rubbing my body, from behind me. Older guy about 6 ft with cig stained color mustache and hair. Watch out for this predator

First time in Cape with 1 & 4 year olds: Falmouth vs. Dennis Port/Harwich ?

We are planning a 3 nights 4 day trip at the end of August. We will be driving from Boston. I am looking for warm and calm beaches where little ones can enjoy. After researching by myself, I found these two option for kid friendly warm beach areas.
Option 1: 3 nights at Falmount. With 1 day trip to MW by ferry.
Option 2: staying at Dennis port, finding a place by the beach.

I have no idea how to navigate in Cape; if these two options make sense or if the beaches are even good for kids. I love to explore a bit Cape as well.

Any advice would be appreciated.
