June visit lodging help!

I visited for the first time last summer with my sister and had the best time, and now am lucky enough to return with my husband in mid June! However, I am having trouble finding the right place for the vibe I’m looking for. Last year we stayed at the Kingfisher in Dennis, but I’m hoping to find someplace that has a little bit more to do within walking distance (coffee, restaurant, bars, etc). I would also love to be by the water but that’s not a dealbreaker. I thought I found a good option in Dennis Port, but then came to this sub and now am thinking maybe Orleans would be a better choice? We are in our 30s and just love to do as many activities as we can squeeze in, but enjoy that hour of downtime in the morning to relax with a coffee or walk to get a pastry. If you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate them all! Also any jovial eatery/evening recommendations would be great! Thank you for helping an easily overwhelmed vacationer out!

Choose between Martha’s Vineyard or Ptown

We are staying in harwich. We will be going to Nantucket for a day trip. But I don’t think we will have time to do MV and Ptown. So if you had to choose between one of those (and knowing we are going to Nantucket) which would you choose? Also, if you think we should go to MV instead of Nantucket lmk why! Thanks in advance y’all

Looking for suggestions for where to go on cape cod June 9-13!

Is June even a good time to go?

Anyways, we’re flying in to Boston, and driving to Plymouth from there to our air bnb. That is however just a maybe unless there is somewhere else affordable and better. I saw some towns in cape cod are like 2.5 hours away or more from there and would preferably not have to spend hours driving to get to where we are staying.
Besides where to stay- what beaches do you recommend or activities and *affordable* places to eat? Anything you can tell me really! We do not like museums sorry :(

Also- my husband agreed to go on a whale watching boat cruise, but I know he’s probably terrified and is only doing it cause whales are cool, but if there’s also any non water things that are fun please do tell

Where to stay for biking

It will be our first time visiting Cape Cod in early June and we would like to explore it mainly by bike. We will need to rent bikes as we are traveling from Colorado. We are very active and bike regularly so would love to stay somewhere that is relaxing (B&B would be great!) and has decent spots along the way to grab lunch, pop into cute shops, grab dinner. Will have a car. We were going to maybe day trip to MV but nothing else really planned. Thanks!

Long weekend trip in July - input and recommendations welcome

My daughter (21) goes to school in Worchester and will be interning there this summer. My mother (70) and I (47) will be visiting and want to do a long weekend on the cape the fits around her work schedule. We will be driving in from Worchester early Thursday afternoon and returning late Sunday night.

Currently have reservations at Charm on Main in Brewster. Hoping for a relaxing trip with beautiful scenery, good food and fun shopping. We are pretty laid back and go with the flow but like to have a skeleton plan to follow.

Arrive/check in 7/16 - dinner in Brewster, check out the beaches at sunset (considering JTs seafood for dinner)

7/17 - breakfast at the inn, drive to Chatham for a day for shopping and eating, check out the seals and pier, Friday night concert in Chatham (considering imprudent oyster for late lunch or dinner)

7/18 - drive to ferry for ride to Martha’s Vineyard (from hyannis it is almost $300, from Falmouth it’s less then $100 - is it worth driving to Falmouth to save?); currently have a car rental at oak bluffs but may cancel since it looks like public transportation is easy and accessible; need restaurant recommendations

7/19 - breakfast at the inn or a recommended brunch spot, Hyannis and 2:30 whale watching tour and then after dinner drive back to Worchester

Would love some food recs, beach recs, plans for MVI.

We decided against PTown because of the road congestion and the ability to boat over from Boston in the fall.

Early June in Falmouth

We will be staying at the Sea crest the first week in June. I booked for the good deal, not realising it may be chilly and there’s not much in the immediate area. We’re not that adventurous but still looking for suggestions of restaurants and things to do somewhat nearby especially if it’s not beach weather.

Cape Cod beaches, transportation, lodging

Hello, looking for some advice. Looking to plan a trip to Cape Cod in mid July. Traveling from the southwest of US. Traveling with 2 older teenagers and hoping our young adult son is able to join us. I realize I’m late on the planning, but long story short, having to pivot on summer plans due to circumstances out of our control. Hoping to pull together a relaxing family vacation.

Looking to rent a home in Chatham. Have been scouring weneedavacation.com. Any other recommended rental sites?

What are the best public beaches in the area? We will have a car.

Is there a residential area of Chatham that would be walkable/bikeable to restaurants, shops, etc.? We will have a car, but we like to give our teenagers a little freedom during the day to explore.

Is there any type of bus or other transportation to Cape Cod from Logan Airport? Our adult son is not able to arrive until the day after us, thus, we need to figure out transportation to get him to Chatham. He is not yet 25, so another rental car is not an option.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions and tips!

Weekend Getaway

My soon-to-be husband and I will be going to Yarmouth for a weekend getaway some time in the next couple of weeks. We are both in our early 20s and don't drink - can anyone recommend some fun things for us to do besides eating?

What are your favorite beaches you recommend we ABSOLUTELY must go to, museums, downtowns, etc. We don't want to go anywhere more than an hour away so we're pretty open to anything.

Small clambake recommendations

We’d like to have a full-service (not drop-off) clambake for 10 people in Falmouth. Does this exist? Most websites I see either have a minimum higher than 10 people or will only deliver for a small group. We’re celebrating 2 big birthdays and ideally do not want to set-up, clean, etc. TIA!!

Hi, my family is headed to Cape Cod in early June. We’re flying into the Boston Logan airport on Saturday and meeting up with the rest of the family on Sunday afternoon in Wellfleet, and need somewhere to stay in-between on Saturday night. We’re two adults and a one-year-old.

Ideally it would be somewhere easy to drive into on Saturday night where we could grab dinner, and then hang out and stroll around Sunday morning until about noon when we’d drive to Wellfleet.

I’d considered Woods Hole because I was obsessed with the oceanographic institute as a kid and have never been and the town looks lovely, but all the hotels are a two-night minimum.

I’ve looked at Falmouth because maybe we could pop over to Woods Hole but the hotels seem a little dodgy?

I als looked at Plymouth because maybe that’s an easy starting point?

Or maybe there’s somewhere else along the way that I should be looking at!

Share your wisdom please!
