Questions for anyone whos worked kitchen at Cheesecake Factory

Hi y'all. So I'm getting ready to move states and the area I'm going to has a good amount of cheesecake factories. I was doing some research online and have heard that it is an extremely difficult job, but a lot of people like it and get paid well, and it has decent benefits for a restaurant chain. I really think i want to give it a go, even if im only there for a year, that's still really really good experience on my resume.

For reference; I've worked in kitchens for 3 years now and have been an assistant manager at my current place for a year. It's all been very small-scale, local kitchens, but i do have a good amount of knowledge with industrial equipment and cooking methods. The only thing i don't have any experience with right now is fryers. Scratch pizzas have been my main thing for the past 2 years.

Questions:

  1. How strict are their requirements for hiring? I meet most of the standards listed on Indeed, but what are the things they really, truly look for when hiring someone?

  2. Would they be willing to start someone full-time? If not, how good are the part-time hours and how quickly after you're hired do they offer you a full-time position?

  3. How late do they keep their employees there every day, when does kitchen clean up start and when are you expected to be finished and out of the restaurant? I'd like to not be at my job past 9pm, but if its the only way they'd hire me, I could do it.

  4. In the state I'm looking in, it seems like they typically start people at 18/hr and ive heard you get a 25 cent raise for every station you learn (unsure if thats true of every location), but how good are the opportunities there, like if I do decide I want to stick with it, what are the odds of me eventually making at least 50k/y there?

  5. If I don't want to stick with it for more than a few years, does working at CCF go a long way for getting other higher-end kitchen jobs like fine dining?

If anyone could answer any of these questions at all it'd be a huge help. Thank you in advance.

Order ahead for pick up

My husband and I I both have a birthday coupon for the free cheesecake slice. His expires tomorrow and mine expires on the 7th. I was trying to schedule to pick up on Sunday since we can’t make it tomorrow. I’ve done it before where even if the coupon is expiring as long as you submit the order before expires it’s fine. Both the app and website will only let me pick up for tonight. Even for my reward that won’t expire until Monday. Are you only allowed to to schedule orders to pick up ASAP or some time later the same day?

Salary day!! And here i am eating the cheesecake..

I I absolutely love this FRIENDS series. It’s not just that, but it feels like you can create your own story. Blueberry cheesecake is the delightful dessert. 🍮

What do you know about this? 👀

I’m probably more excited than I should be, but I’m planning to get there when they open
that day. Hoping they don’t sell out.

Gross Chicken

This is the jambalaya dish. Westlake ohio. Seemed the cheap low quality Chicken a cheap Chinese restaurant serves. I couldn't finish it and I'm still grossed out.

Pasta da vinci 🍝

Pasta da vinci is my favorite dish ever at CF. I know you can sub the penne for any type of pasta but has anyone tried swapping out the chicken to maybe like the Louisiana chicken? So shy to ask lol

"The Appetizer Guy Called Out Today"

I went to Cheesecake Factory last night for the first time in roughly five years. We ordered an appetizer (spinach dip) and we were told by our waitress that they didn't have any appetizers because "the appetizer guy called out today". My girlfriend and I have been trying to figure out what that could mean.

Is there just one guy? Was it an appetizer delivery driver? In that case, why would they only deliver appetizers? They have so many appetizers I can't comprehend it being just one guy in charge.

We're not mad (although the spinach dip is so good, I was devastated to not get it) but I am just so curious why one guy being out would lead to all of the appetizers being out of stock? I've seen other people on here post the "86 list" from their Cheesecake Factorys, and I can understand being out of all pastas, or all chicken dishes, but the appetizers are such a wide variety. They were also out of the brown bread which maybe was the saddest part :(

First time going in a decade, what should I get?

I haven’t been in a long time and would love some recommendations on what to get. The menu is huge so I don’t want to miss out on something. I see a lot of people recommending the Mac and cheese balls! Also, are the cheesecakes actually good? I checked a few old post and rarely see people recommending it, but that could just be the few post I’ve seen.

Creamy marinara sauce recipe (fried Mac and cheese)

Begging for the recipe for the creamy marinara sauce they use with the fried Mac and cheese!! I know apparently it’s the same sauce with the Romano chicken but I’ve never had it. I found a recipe on Reddit but when I made it, it wasn’t close to the original
