Chicago Snapshot: From Railroad Hub to Leading Metropolis
Chase Building, Chicago
Formerly known as the Bank One Tower and One First National Plaza, it was renamed Chase Tower in 2005.
The sloped design made me think it was designed by the same architect as the W.R. Grace Building in NYC (Gordon Bunshaft of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill), but its architects were C.F. Murphy Associates and Perkins and Will.
Edit: I goofed on the title

UNIQUELY CHICAGO (5): Buildings (3 of 4) - Interesting Mix
South Loop mini skyline
I only recently learned that NEMA was originally planned to be 2 towers. Would be a cool addition to the skyline from this angle
Streeterville Textures
I like the juxtaposition of the material types.
The shiny one is 500 Lake Shore Drive (497 feet) - opened in 2013.
The taller pre-cast concrete tower behind it is One Bennett (897 feet) - opened in 2019.
[Note: I'm not ignoring 474 North Lake Shore Drive (581 feet) that is partially in frame, its just that I didn't capture it well.)
