Made this meme for my partner, who started DA2 for the first time, because she immediately fell for the adorable blood mage.

even though "Panahedan" wouldn't really apply to my mage Warden because "seek refuge in safety" isn't really traveling to Par Vollen to get indoctrinated, become Viddathori in the best scenario & Bas-Saarebas in a labor camp in the worst-
Not that there's much to it, but it just struck me how the overarching plot twist of the entire series happened twice, like a dramaturgical matroshka.
Especially surprising after how many people (myself very much not included) not only hated DA2 but specifically Anders, and the final conclusion surrounding Anders. Solas goes ahead and pulls literally the same thing except cranking the volume up el(e)ven notches. Huh.
Here's your meme and my work day.
Crazy how the Elves started off as a people in diaspora or literal slavery, always trying to rekindle their own civilization while other human civilizations like Tevinter existed BECAUSE of Elven technologies/magic, and yet in every game Bioware makes them behind the bad guys.
Then you finally meet one of their gods, and he is not only a genuinely interesting character with a complex moral issue, but also wants to help the Elves rebuild!!!
Oh but the other gods are not only evil, but they were never gods at all!! And every single issue in the world is caused by Elves!!! Elves immigrating and integrating into human societies!!! Elves started magical-zombie apocalypse’s!!! Elves destroyed the world!!!
Thanks a lot Bioware, it is nice to know you are just as much of a Knife-Ear hater as Tevinter.
Sandal will rise from the depths and save us from this shit world
