Ever find yourself missing someone who was never actually yours?
It’s a strange, lingering sort of grief—missing someone you only knew in fragments. Maybe it was just a few conversations or a connection that felt like it was leading somewhere, but then life moved on. When that happens, we aren't just mourning the person; we’re mourning the potential of what we imagined for them.
I think a lot of this comes down to how we attach ourselves to people. We build these small, internal worlds around the "what-ifs," and when they don't materialize, we’re left holding onto a version of someone that never really existed in reality. It’s a quiet, private attachment that’s hard to talk about because it feels almost irrational to miss someone you barely knew.
I’ve been exploring these kinds of unspoken feelings in my writing lately—the things we carry in the background of our daily lives that we never quite find the words for.
Anyone from dhanbad had applied for passport? How was the verification process? What were the documents you needed? And lastly does the police came to your home or you were summoned to the police station?
I will be filing for passport and wanted to know about the entire process just to be sure about everything.
Bhai nike, crocs wagera ki 1st copy wali dukan hai kya dhanbad me?
Aur kaha pe hai?
Judge kar rahe ho?
Thik hai kar lo🫠
I’m reaching a breaking point and honestly, I don't know who else to talk to.
It feels like a sick joke at this point. Whenever I study hard, prepare well, and actually go into an exam feeling confident—either the paper gets leaked, the exam gets cancelled, or some technical disaster happens.
And then there’s the other side of the coin: the exams that actually do happen, I end up missing the cutoff by 0.4 or 0.5 marks. That tiny margin is starting to feel like a wall I can never climb.
I’m constantly questioning myself now. Is it a lack of capability? Am I just not cut out for this? Or is it just a streak of terrible luck that won’t end?
It's going to be a long post. Bear with me.
I keep coming across these posts saying there's nothing to do in this city or posts asking for suggestions about things to do here. People are working from home or working here or studying here - but since it's a small city there's really not much to do here. I've been in the same shoes. Starved for some sort of intellectual stimulation. Good conversations, good company.
So I thought maybe I.. or we... can start something?
The idea is simple enough: on the last Friday of the month we pick a good restaurant and a time that works for everyone... Preferably after office hours... Meet there... Discuss things, books, movies, politics anything and everything under the sun. As long as everyone makes an effort to be civil and understanding - it should work. We order good food, have a good time, split the bill and then split. Until next month's last Friday of course.
We could work out a discord community etc to figure out the details. This post is mainly to gauge interest. To see if something like this could work out and if people would be interested in it.

Hey fellow Dhanbad peeps!
I'm playing around with a new business idea and wanted to get the community's ground reality check. I'm planning to start an open-air cafe that has a strong greenery/nature view in the background. I'm going for the vibe in the reference video I've attached—rustic seating, misty weather, and a relaxed outdoor aesthetic.
The catch? I want to run it strictly overnight, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
I want to know:
Will this concept actually work in Dhanbad? I know our city sleeps a bit early, but would students, late-night drivers, or highway travelers keep it busy?
Where should I open this? Finding lush greenery inside the city is tough. Where on the outskirts would be safe, accessible, and scenic?
Would love any brutal honesty, tips, or specific location recommendations. Thanks!
I think ppl from these areas don't use reddit, prove me wrong pls
