Hello fellow Epic fans!
I'd like to share these 3D printed roads from Brian Konopa (AcmePropDept on Etsy). They are printed in multi-coloured PLA so are ready to use right out of the box, but can also be painted and weathered as you see fit. I've included pictures of some of mine that I weathered with a grimy brown wash for that dirty post apocalypse urban warzone look.
The roads are available in two-lane and four-lane versions to represent different road types/sizes, but the really ingenious feature is the connecting system which uses small steel pins that fit into holes on the ends of each road section. This is one of the best connecting/locking systems I've ever seen on a road system and it holds everything together tightly, preventing things from sliding around the table. They're also really thin, with the curbs standing about 2 mm high from the table, so they blend into the playing surface really well.
The ones shown in the pictures here are the standard pattern in terms of road markings, but Brian is a really nice guy and always happy to work with customers on custom markings.
The Predator tanks in the first picture are 8 mm scale to give you an idea of their dimensions (I didn't have a ruler or banana handy).
--------
Full disclosure: While I did give Brian a few pointers during the development phase (mostly as a wargamer consultant since he comes from the model railway world), I do not receive any money from the sales. I'm just happy to have helped him make something cool. :)
Basically the title. Really want to get into 6mm 40k, and the two rulesets are very different. What's the main differences in game design between them? And which one is more enjoyable so I can get on it?
After finishing my model of Abominatus, I took a break in painting and went down a Epic Chaos Titan rabbit hole. I’ve scoured old issues of the Citadel Journal; and found rules for Skylok (which I knew about), and Bubonus (which I didn’t), but can’t find anything on a Slaanesh aligned Titan.
Slaanesh was always my favourite alignment, but I was never the biggest fan of their Scout/Knight sized walkers. Was there ever any “official” rules/lore for one. I’ve trawled through Scribd (which is amazing), but it’s also poorly organized, and I find myself going in circles!
Hi everyone, went into my FLGS to pick up some 40K stuff and found some epic they had second hand. I collect Orks as my main army and love collecting anything warhammer greenskin so I picked the sprue and bases it came with up and im excited to paint them up.
Thing is I actually know nothing about epic 40k. I dabbled a bit in Legions Imperialis but didnt care for it that much cause I dont really care for horus heresy. Is there somewhere I can actually information on how many to base, what each model is for sure is, and any rules for them?
I can confidently say I can identify some bosses w/ background banners, a banner Bearer, a shokk attack mek, a painboy, a mek, a runtheard, a weirdboy, boyz, grots, and bikes. I just have 0 idea how these are supposed to be properly based. Thanks for any and all help! Even if I dont end up playing I'm excited to base and paint them up!
Referring to SM 2nd ed, I'm going through some of the stands I assembled as a kid, and have some questions on the proper composition of the nobz and warboss stands. I think I might have mistakenly used the warboss figure on the nobz stands.
Can anyone tell me on a nobz stand, what mix of nobz and regular Ork warriors should be on each stand? And for a warboss stand, is it just a single warboss figure and a standard bearer? Or should boyz be on there as well to make it up to 5 infantry on the base?
Everybody’s gangsta ‘til the church starts walkin’!
An 'epic' milestone! 1,000 points of Space Marines for Epic 40K 3rd Edition!
The next step is to complete the Company (it's short two tactical squads) and bring the whole force up to 1,500 points...something for which I have...plans...
There are closeups of the command stands and their transport, an elite detachment from the 1st Company, the majority of the core of the 4th Company (Assault, Tactical and Devastator Squads) and even a squad from the 10th Company. There's also a lot of fire support, Predators, Vindicators, Whirlwinds and a Thunderhawk!
I was noticing a distinct lack of anything involving Psychic Units when peering through the EpicUK and NetEA stuff. I heard this was the most recommended way to play.
In contrast, NetEpic DOES have Psychic units and abilities. So I'm really wondering why they were left out, considering how much of a part it has in the setting, and why the community has never added them back in for the later fan editions.
Alright, ive book looking into blast markers and ive found several free stls.
... I'm wondering what people here like and use.
What blast markers do you like for ease of use and for looks?
Hi all,
Sorry if this is a bit lame.
I loved epic armageddon back in the day, and a mate is picking it back up.
I'm looking for a standard size Ork list with a good mix of stuff minus big gargants. Would anyone be able to advise?
Other than new recruit, is there any army builder folks use?
Thanks in advance.
Ok, so here’s another post. This one focused on the Ogryns.
The files are available here: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/epic-scale-space-ogres
Pretty nice models but the faces lose the detail in the print and the bayonets are very thin. One and a half of mine have broken off.
I’m not sure if I needed to add squad and command markings but there ya go.
