Help with getting refund of a payment made to holidayfactory

I booked a trip with holiday factory for 8 nights and paid a total of aed 10k. The trip was cancelled due to visa issues, which was discussed with their sales rep before the purchase of the package. Holiday factory refused my ask of a complete refund and offered a hysterical 15% discount on my next trip.

I raised a complaint with the department of economica and tourism (DET) but they sent my complaint to holidayfactory and replied with the response they recieved and closed the case. I have been advised by DET to raise the matter with Dubai court for further assistance.

Has anybody been in a similar soup and was able to get out of it? I could use some guidance as I dont wanna lose my 10k due to the incompetence of a sales rep.

Why Raw District by Imtiaz can be one of best off plan investment worth Investing.

Why I Think RAW District by Imtiaz Developments Could Be a Strong Investment

  • Located in Downtown Jebel Ali directly on Sheikh Zayed Road , one of Dubai’s biggest long-term growth corridors.
  • Area is positioned between major future-demand drivers: That combination alone creates strong long-term residential and rental demand.
    • Expo City Dubai , Palm Jebel Ali , Al Maktoum Airport , JAFZA
  • ppsqft is pretty reasonable for furnished project :==
    • Studio: AED 649K for 380 sqft → around AED 1,707/sqft
    • 1BR Executive: AED 889.5K for 610 sqft → around AED 1,458/sqft
    • 1BR Standard: AED 1.069M for 720 sqft → around AED 1,484/sqft
    • 2BR: AED 1.489M for 1,054 sqft → around AED 1,412/sqft
    • 3BR: AED 1.959M for 1,400 sqft → around AED 1,399/sqft
  • 3BR sizing is one of the biggest positives :==
    • 1,400 sqft for under AED 2M is difficult to find today in branded/lifestyle projects.
  • 60/40 post-handover plan reduces pressure :==
    • Example on a AED 1.959M 3BR:
      • AED 1.175M paid till handover
      • Remaining AED 784K spread over 3 years after completion
    • Easier for investors planning rental income support after handover.
  • Potential rental math looks interesting :==
    • If a 2BR rents around AED 100K–120K by 2029:
      • Gross yield could be around 6.7%–8%
    • If a 3BR rents around AED 140K–160K:
      • Yield could stay around 7%+
    • Furnished/lifestyle projects usually command stronger rental premiums.
  • Q1 2029 handover gives runway :==
    • Dubai infrastructure expansion is still ongoing.
    • If surrounding communities mature over next 3 years, pricing today may look attractive in hindsight.
  • Overall: ==
    • decent PSF
    • larger layouts
    • furnished positioning
    • flexible payment structure
    • mixed-use concept

DM to Know More about the project .

Which Countries Are Best for Indian Teachers to Get Hired?

Hi everyone,

I am an Indian primary teacher currently working in the UAE with experience in the British curriculum. I hold a B.Ed, a Master’s in English Literature, a teaching license, and have recently completed my PGCEi.

I am exploring international teaching opportunities and would like honest advice from Indian teachers who have successfully moved abroad.

Which countries are currently easier for Indian teachers to get hired in, especially for primary/elementary teaching roles with visa sponsorship?

I am mainly considering Germany, but I would also like to know about other countries that are realistic and welcoming for international teachers.

I would appreciate advice regarding:
- Job opportunities and hiring chances
- Visa sponsorship
- Salary vs cost of living
- Work-life balance
- Demand for English-speaking teachers
- Whether learning the local language is necessary before moving

Thank you in advance for your guidance and experiences.

Cats n kittens for adoption

Over the years, I rescued 13 cats and kittens here in the UAE.

4 of them have already travelled with me to India something that cost me a fortune, but they were family to me and I couldn’t leave them behind.

In the next 2 months, I’ll be wrapping up my life here in the UAE, and I still have 9 beautiful cats and kittens looking for loving homes. I will be taking 2 more with me to India as well, but I truly cannot bear the thought of leaving the others on the streets.

They are gentle, loving souls who only ask for the smallest things:

A safe corner to sleep, a little food, and kindness.

That’s all.

If anyone has space in their home and heart to adopt even one of them, please message me. You wouldn’t just be adopting a cat - you would be saving a life that trusted humans again. 🤍

If your serious and willing to give them life please dm me

Dark Winters, Packed Lunch & Long Bus Rides

There was a phase in my early Dubai days (2015) when I used to handle brand promotions, and the daily journey itself felt like a full-time job.
Travelling from Al Jubail, Sharjah all the way to Mirdif City Centre almost every day.
Multiple buses.
Long waits.
Miss one connection and the whole trip became longer and more exhausting.
I still remember carrying lunch from home, standing at bus stops early in the morning, and coming back late at night completely drained.
Dubai winters used to feel different during those days.
Dark mornings.
Cold wind at bus stops.
Quiet roads after mall closing hours.
Sometimes after long shifts, I would sit silently in the bus looking outside the window, wondering how long this phase of life would last.
At that time, it honestly felt difficult.
But now when I look back, those journeys became part of my story.
Before leadership roles.
Before businesses.
Before stability.
There was just a younger version of me travelling from Sharjah to Dubai every day with big dreams and very little certainty simply trying to make life work. 🤍

How many can relate to this?

Is this the night scene really!?

Usually by now it's way way past my bedtime... But today went out with a friend who's been away to one of the popular pubs around Marina.

I have to say it was repulsive, despite the few people who were there, almost all the women there were working women!

Further, the walk back at this time was infested with the same sort.

Of course each to their own, but for someone who's been away from the night scene I was a bit disturbed with what it is like...&. I hope what I saw today is not the norm!

Or is it?🤔

P.s. No offence or judgement intended for people's choices & preferances..each to their own..

Good night/morning 😴
