Q: Are there happily married couples out there? Or is that a Myth?
So many posts around Reddit & some general discussions hover around people seeking marriage or wanting to start a family or looking for something serious.
Then you look at real life where many couples if not in the process of getting divorced, seem unable to tolerate each other.
Advice such as "happy wife happy life" & "let things slide...ignore & things will be fine" keep popping up, which also seem part of the problem.
Hence my question, "Are genuinely happily married couples a myth?"
Personally I believe it's a myth 😅

So let's start and go back. Is it just me, or is the property market in Dubai beginning to show cracks?
Hey everyone! I've been tracking the Dubai property market prices for a while. Famously, there have been some incredible new trackers and websites, thanks to the age of Claude and ChatGPT being upon us. They effectively track property finder and Bayut listings across thousands of listed properties.
What's interesting about these websites is that they not only track which properties exist but benchmark them dynamically across their peer sets and are also able to track how many times those property prices have actually seen drops and what dates they've seen drops. That's very useful information because it shows something that was previously unseen or hidden. It shows buyer behavior, buyer desperation, and, more importantly, how long properties have been on the market.
I feel that it's not the absolute drop in property value that's important. What is important is time on the market because that signals liquidity more than desperation and simple cracks, and in liquidity, as we've seen back in 2007 or 2008, is more of a systemic problem. It's not an isolated problem where a villa or an apartment somewhere might be a distressed sale property because someone lost their job or someone's business did not turn out to be very good or just needs liquidity for the time being.
Systemic problems are much, much harder to spot before they happen, but there are obviously markers. You have to look at time in the market, cracks, and patterns forming across types of asset classes and price points to really be able to identify these. I feel that we're at the beginning of a very large meltdown in this space because we're now seeing property wait times in terms of finding sellers going from a month and a half on average to three months. Properties never used to be on the market for more than 15-20 days, and now we're seeing properties on the market for more than four months. That is an indicator.
What is seemingly surprising to me is that this is before any of the off-plan releases that are planned for 2027-2029, so that's going to bring another 100-200,000 apartment units into supply. I feel that if it's slowing down now, it should really capitulate the market in the coming 12-18 months. My perspective is that we're going to see more distressed sales, property prices drop another 15-20% from where they are right now at a bare minimum, and that's my basic scenario, but keen to hear what other investors are thinking about this.
Has anyone tried Mulik chocolate milk? Is it any good? 👀
I went to get my chocolate milk and found... 'Mulik.' 😂 Is it actually any good?
Baladi Dogs Are Amazing 😍
This beauty "Luna" is a local breed dog... She's around seven (7) months old & looking for a forever home.
So help me find her a loving home & family to adopt her & give her the life she deserves.
I was checking out the key traits for local dogs & here's a summary:
- Lineage & Build:
They are part of an ancient, resilient line of desert pariah dogs. They feature an athletic, medium-sized build with an adaptable double coat that protects them from extreme weather. While sandy tones are common, striking black-and-white patterns frequently appear.
- Temperament:
They are highly intelligent, masterful problem solvers, and fiercely loyal to their trusted circle. Because of their survival instincts, they can be aloof or cautious around strangers and naturally vigilant guardians of their territory.
- Health:
Thanks to a diverse gene pool, they are incredibly robust, possess strong immune systems, and are free from many of the congenital health issues found in purebred dogs.
- Key Care Needs:
Building a relationship requires patience, consistent boundaries, and earning their trust through food and calm body language. They thrive on mental stimulation (like puzzle games) and early socialization to curb over-vigilance.
what should i ask a derm for hair fall in dubai?
booking a dermatologist appointment because i’m tired of guessing.
hair fall got worse after moving to UAE. scalp gets oily/itchy sometimes, ends are dry, and wash days look scary. i’ve tried being normal about it but i’m officially annoyed now.
before the appointment, i’m making a list:
vitamin D ferritin/iron B12 thyroid dandruff/seb derm check is it shedding or breakage is my front hairline traction from tight buns whether Be Bodywise hair growth serum is okay to continue whether i need actual medical treatment or just routine correction
also taking photos of my part line and collecting notes on when shedding is worse.
anything else i should ask? i don’t want to go and forget half the things.
Hello !
I’m looking for recommendations based on personal experience. Has anyone had a chalazion removed in Dubai?
Which clinic and doctor would you recommend?
Thank you!
Arabic Brand Asset Available for Acquisition
I’m helping a client explore acquisition interest for Dua.ae.
Dua.ae is a short, culturally meaningful domain that resonates deeply in the UAE and the wider GCC. Its rarity as a single, meaningful Arabic word under .ae gives it strong long-term brand potential.
My client acquired this domain privately back in 2019 for a planned project, which was never launched.
Could fit a wide range of concepts:
- Wellness / Spirituality
- AI or Assistant products
- Community platforms
- Islamic fintech
- Lifestyle brands
- Apps or media
Short, meaningful domains like this rarely come to market. If this aligns with your vision, feel free to DM for further details.

my no-influencer dubai hair stack
i’m tired of hair advice that is basically “buy my code”.
so this is my current realistic Dubai hair stack, built for oily scalp + dry ends + hair fall panic:
blu shower filter - not expecting miracles, just hoping less rough/sticky hair
gentle shampoo - scalp only
conditioner/mask - only lengths, never scalp
Be Bodywise hair growth serum - night scalp step
Tangle Teezer - detangling without violence
Decathlon microfibre towel - because normal towels are rude
Bioderma SPF - on parting/hairline if I’m outside long
Nizoral - only if dandruff is active, not random daily use
this is probably the least sexy routine ever but maybe boring is the answer.
what would you remove/add?

I just need to yap about this heat for a second
Is anyone else genuinely questioning how we're supposed to function in this weather? I stepped outside for what I thought would be a nice walk, and within five minutes I was regretting every life decision that led me there. I wasn't walking anymore I was slowly being cooked. Forget melting, I was on my way to becoming a grilled chicken or paneer.
The heat doesn't even feel real anymore. You open the door and it's like someone pointed a giant hair dryer at your face. The air itself is hot. How is the wind hot? Isn't wind supposed to cool you down?
Then I looked around and saw all the delivery riders still out there working in this absolute furnace while the rest of us complain after being outside for ten minutes. It honestly made me stop and think. They're riding around all day in helmets and full gear so we can stay inside in the AC waiting for our food.
What made it even worse was seeing how some buildings treat them. In my building they're not even allowed to use the main entrance. They're told to go through the basement or another entrance instead. I honestly don't understand it. They're not asking for special treatment they're literally bringing food and packages to the people who live there. If it wasn't for them, half of us wouldn't be enjoying a lazy day at home.
A little respect costs nothing. Offer them a smile, say thank you, don't make their job harder than it already is. They're already battling the heat; they shouldn't have to battle unnecessary rules that make them feel less than everyone else.
I genuinely pray Allah keeps every single one of them safe, protects them from this heat, blesses them with better opportunities, and gives them easier lives. Inshallah, they get the respect and future they deserve. They're human beings first, and I think people forget that way too often.
