I’ve illustrated a book about Halloween and would love to share more details with you!

Hello everyone! My new search and find book focused in Kids, which is called Halloween Search and Find Adventures, was just released yesterday! This is a book I would love to read if I were able to be a kid again lol. In each page, you must find a specific character (Dracula, Dr. Frankenstein, etc) hosting its own Halloween party in a specific and funny location, like Draculas Castle, Ghost Mansion house, etc. there are some lost objects too. If you have any questions, may you be an author, illustrator or a reader, I would love to talk more about my process creating this book. Just ask me here and I will answer right away. Thanks!

I made a 3D printed suit of 16th century armor using a new material and finishing technique!

I have a strange addiction/hobby: I design costume armor for 3D printing. And with two jobs, a baby on the way, and ongoing home renovations and I don't have time to meticulously sand my costume armor pieces anymore.

In order to save precious time (*cough*, cut corners...) I printed my latest design, these vambraces, out of ASA, a material similar to ABS. I then used a small amount of acetone to vapor-smooth the pieces into a high quality, high durability gloss black finish. The whole thing was fast and effortless! It was then a one-step process to make them look metallic, with a single layer of Alclad II paint and a clear coat.

I'm stoked! While the elbow geometry is not *perfect* the way I'd want it, the overall piece is a highly functional part very close to the historical references I used, and the manufacturing time of this cosplay piece was a fraction of the usual time I take to finish my armor pieces. I plan to make a tutorial on Youtube for those who may want to do the same.

I hope you like my work! Cheers!

Costume ideas for a senior woman who doesn't usually dress up?

My brother and my future SIL are having a halloween party wedding and costumes are strongly encouraged. I'm all for it and my kids are stoked! Wedding theme is mystical/magical vibes, fae/dragon/elves/fae wilds, etc, but costumes don't necessarily *have* to be "on theme".

My grandma, an 84 year old woman, doesn't dress up but doesn't want to feel like the odd one out. She's the kind of person who doesn't even wear jeans out of the house, she wears dressy pants and blouses or dresses. Can't restrict mobility since she's recently started needing a walker occasionally.

Ideas?

Family costume ideas

Looking for ideas for a family costume for myself, my husband, and our daughter who will be 2. The plan is I’ll be a few months pregnant by the time Halloween rolls around. I like funny/niche costumes. I would love a costume that incorporates my bump. When I try looking around online I see the same costumes over and over again so I’m looking for some ideas from yall!

We live in Texas so it’s usually still pretty hot in October.

Edit: sorry if you saw multiple posts from me, it was telling me there was an error and try again so I kept trying. Turns out it posted every time. I deleted the duplicate posts.

My son’s Halloween costume from 2 years ago. May I present, the solar system!

My son has always requested unusual Halloween costumes, since he was old enough to play pretend and find joy in dressing up in costumes. I never learned to sew, so any costumes I make are held together with hot glue, Velcro and a prayer. This was a particularly fun costume to make, with the most challenging component being the duct tape “harness”. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

My Marie Antoinette costume!:) I wanted to do fake blood around my neck but my mom said it would ruin the dress. I think the fake cake is enough though!

Look at this cute giant Squirtle costume! I was at an anime convention but I still thought this was adorable.

Need your opinion if this costume is okay

I have an idea for this year's Halloween and I just want to know your guys' opinions if dressing up as somebody with a cartoony amount of injuries would be okay for if it would be offensive to some people

Starting my Halloween costume early! I 3D printed this "Moonlit Arcanist Staff" and my wife painted it. 🌙

We believe it's never too early to start prepping for Halloween!

We wanted to create an original dark fantasy character, so I designed and FDM printed this magical staff. To make it look like an ancient, realistic relic, my wife did an amazing job with thick primers, real silver leaf, and weathering acrylics.

The raw plastic was totally transformed. If anyone else is starting their Halloween prop building early and has a 3D printer, I put the files up for free:https://makerworld.com/it/models/2370731-moonlit-arcanist-staff#profileId-2594605

I designed and made this Gothic Skull Hand Mirror. It could be the perfect prop for a Vampire, Witch, or Dark Queen costume! 🧛‍♀️💀

Hey everyone! I wanted to share a prop we just finished. I did the 3D design and printing, and my wife Ambra did an amazing job with the painting and weathering to make it look ancient and realistic. 🎨

I thought it would be perfect for anyone putting together a dark, gothic, or Halloween costume.

If you happen to have a 3D printer (or a friend who has one), I uploaded the 3D files completely for free. You can grab them here: https://makerworld.com/it/models/2784170-gothic-elegance-skull-hand-mirror#profileId-3094750

What kind of costume would you pair this with?

Recreate ice cream drip in a wig

How can I make this upside down ice cream drip into a pastel wig? What could I use for the drips that are glossy? A real ice cream cone? Or styrofoam cone rolled up with brown paper? I’ve watched videos on white wall spackling, glue, and cornstarch- how did they do this? Already planning my CarnEvil theme with Cotton Candy Dan and Eye Scream clown- wanted to do a pastel, sexy clown outfit with this amazing wig idea and serve cotton candy to the kids…more makeup inspiration…
