This is an internship opportunity with hands-on experience in content, social media, AI-assisted creative workflows and community building.

I’m Muneswar, 24M.

I recently left my job and decided to take a break for the next 2 years.

I know that probably sounds crazy to some people, but there’s something I’ve wanted to pursue for a long time — filmmaking, specifically direction and screenplay.

I’ve written several screenplays and stage plays over the years. Writing stories is something I genuinely enjoy, but I’ve realized that writing from the outside isn't enough anymore.

I want to actually be on a film set and understand how films are made.

My immediate goal is to find opportunities to work as an AD (Assistant Director) on films so I can learn the process from the ground up — pre-production, scheduling, blocking, working with actors, camera departments, production, set discipline, and everything else that goes into making a film.

I don't expect to walk onto a set and start directing. 😅

I'm willing to start wherever I can, learn, observe, assist, and do the work.

I'm also open to collaborating with other filmmakers, writers, cinematographers, editors, actors, musicians, or anyone else who is seriously interested in making films.

I'm not looking for people who just want to talk about making a movie someday.

I want to actually make things.

I have a personal deadline in my head:

730 days.

I have these two years to figure out what I'm capable of, learn filmmaking practically, meet people, work on sets, write, make short films, make mistakes, and hopefully discover whether this is truly the life I want.

Maybe at the end of those 730 days I'll know that filmmaking is exactly where I belong.

Maybe I'll discover something completely different.

But I'd rather spend two years finding out than spend the next ten years wondering "What if I had tried?"

I directed short films all my life. My recent one was made in the USA. I moved back to hyderabad two months back. I have an amazing script. I don't have many contacts here. I put my own money for my previous projects. This one needs much more money. Where can I find producers to pitch my story? Please help. It's a proper feature film, perfect for OTT release. Theatrical is possible but I have to increase the content and think about adrenaline rush of the audience. I know writers shouldn't think about budget or business while writing but my main concept is already finalised. The type of release demands some changes.

I’m looking for a movie recommendation because I want to create a poster for it.

I’m not a designer, but I know my way around Photoshop. Whenever I feel stuck with writing or just need a break, I like opening Photoshop and doing some creative stuff for a while. It gives me that little dopamine hit and helps me get my brain moving again.

I want to make a movie poster just for fun, but I think it would be much easier if I actually watched the movie first. That way I can understand the story, themes, characters, atmosphere, symbolism, etc., and then try to translate all of that into a poster.

I’m 25M and I’m writing a 5-minute short film. I’m trying to make this independently, and honestly, I see this project as a restart for my career. I really want to make it happen, and I’m hoping to build a small team of people who genuinely love art and want to contribute something of themselves to it.

This isn’t meant to be an ordinary commercial short film. It’s something more art-driven, intimate, and feel-good, with a different kind of emotional experience. I’m looking for people who connect with that kind of storytelling.

Why am I specifically looking for a female writer?

Because I really value women’s sensibilities and perspectives, and I feel that a female perspective could bring something to this particular story that I might not be able to bring on my own.

This is unpaid work, so I completely understand that it may not be for everyone. I’m looking for someone who genuinely wants to create something, experiment, collaborate, and be part of a small creative team.

One thing I want to clarify based on my previous post:

I received a few DMs from people saying they don’t have any writing experience but watch a lot of movies. Some read my script, gave me their opinions/reviews, and left it at that.

I really appreciate anyone who took the time to read my work, but that isn’t what I’m looking for right now.

You don’t necessarily need professional credits or a long resume. But you should believe that you can write and, more importantly, you should be able to actually work on the screenplay and/or dialogues.

You don’t need to be an established writer. If you’ve written things on your own, experimented with scripts, scenes, dialogues, stories, etc., that’s enough for me to start a conversation.
